OMG, Outlaw, that's priceless! LOL!
I can't say I felt lonely. Aggravated for sure.
just curious, something i've noticed only lately.
i'm in the mix within the congregation, stay late after the meeting is over, converse with quite a few people afterwards, make plans for saturday and sometimes sunday service and yet i feel so awfully alone walking to my car afterwards.
i feel lonely when i'm talking and laughing with people after the meeting.

let me first state that i have never been shunned.
i faded from the org very quickly & my life hasn't been blighted by this practice.. i have been out of the organisation for over 6 years.
most of the things i left the religion for, i have came to terms with.
i hear that comment from my mom that there are more baptisms, more magazines placed, more of everything!
(a sign of jah's blessing)..
JWFacts - Interesting graph. I'd love to see one for the early 1970s.
I was baptized in January of 1974 at a circuit assembly with a total attendance of around 1500. There were 119 people baptized at that assembly, and judging from what I saw while standing in line waiting my turn, probably 3/4 of that number were teenagers with frantic parents (that was the case with me). Was that really "growth?"
sorry if this is a dbl.
post.. talking to an elder yesterday, he stated he was going to km school next week and that it was an "emergency" km school being held all over the country and that all the circuits had to purchase projectors for the school.....but he couldn't say anything else (secret society bs)little does he know the details can be found here on jwn.. any undercover elders know what this is about?.
kensho.
Watch out for big tubs of Kool-Aid.
did you go a little nuts as you were waking up and making your exit?
i had a few of the symptoms listed in hassan's, combatting cult mind control.
i couldn't pull my thoughts together.

Claire Weekes' techniques for overcoming anxiety work. I was having anxiety and panic attacks pretty much 24/7, but her advice cured me. I highly recommend it.
written by barbara anderson wednesday, 07 november 2012 00:05. in most child sexual abuse cases the abuser is someone the child knows and trusts relatives, neighbors, coaches, teachers, ministers.
and, incredibly, in too many of these cases, the abuse was preventable because the abuser was known by others to have molested before, but that fact was not known to those who could have protected the child.. .
in 1994, both megan and candace were sexually abused and megan died at the hands of convicted pedophile, jesse timmendequas, who was a known child molester.
Thanks for posting that! I hope at some point in the future the GB gets the same treatment as the officials at Penn State University.
i am not huge into politics but i follow the american elections and kind of keep my finger on it.
i have my own strong views on sa politics.. i just want to applaud you, the american people for going about your elections in a very fair, democratic and peaceful manner.
it certainly came across very polished and well run.
I guess we take it for granted in the U.S. that we can count on peaceful elections and transfers of power. It really is a blessing.
hello people,
i'd like to start by saying wow!
i've only just discovered this "world" of ex jw's so i'm still catching up on lots of stuff, my story is a bit long so don't know if people have patience to read :p but if you can bear the reading then i'm happy to share.
Welcome! Wow, you have had quite a life. I'm glad you got out of JWs and found happiness!
fresh out of the jw.org website http://www.jw.org/en/news/by-region/world/jehovahs-witnesses-office-consolidation/ .
the society as from september 2012 is closing 20 branches worldwide .the best bit is the last paragraph :.
workers are available to spend more time preachingbecause of the mergers, qualified ministers who had been serving in small branches can now concentrate on preaching the good news.. a witness in africa, who was reassigned to the preaching activity, wrote: "adjusting my lifestyle to suit the new circumstances was a challenge during the first few months.
Irondork - My thoughts exactly! LOL!!!
i was wondering if any former bethelites could clue me in to how the illustrations get planned/decided upon that wind up in the watchtower publications?
does the writing department formally ask for a specific illustration to go with their dumb article or do the artists just smoke some ganja and come up with their own zany stuff?.
also, to any active bethelites monitoring this site, i would like to submit a recommendation.
He makes an interesting admission that the "Questions from Readers" do not come from outside readers.
I remember wondering about that when I was a teenager. Hah! Too funny!
