  Top Ten most SHOPLIFTED items?

  i realize that such stolen items would have to be in some way portable and this eliminates most large items from the list.

  still, i was surprised!.

  does anybody have any thoughts as to whether this list is indicative of any special need trends among humanity today?.

  In my local grocery store the infant formula aisle is equipped with a camera and an alarm bell that goes off if you enter the aisle. Of course, the bread is in the same aisle, so that alarm gets tripped frequently.

  In another store the cold/heartburn/allergy meds (the ones that don't contain pseudoephedrine) are behind a special barrier that makes it impossible to grab more than one at a time.

  Diabetic test strips are freakin' expensive! I asked the price for a box of strips, and it was $120! They keep them locked up. It's interesting that you can get the meter for free, but they screw you on the test strips.

  share your reaction after reading CoC and ISoCF

  after reading coc and isocf i cried, i was in shock, disillusioned, angry, and afraid... anyone wants to share their experience?.

  i would like to see what you think about these questions when compared with your account.. why people from different backgrounds feel similar reactions?

  I had DA'd several years before I read CoC. I knew that the WTS was not Jehovah's organization, and I knew it was corrupt, but I didn't know if what they taught was the truth. CoC cleared that up for me. I knew that it was all utter codswallop and I could let it go. I have ISoCF but haven't read it yet.

  You'd almost think this was a one-time incident, but I'm sure that creep had been "grooming" the boy for some time, and probably there were other incidences of abuse that he doesn't remember clearly enough to prosecute.

  And how many other kids have been abused in the 30-some years since?

  I remember a circuit assembly part that presented the proper way to handle everyday questions that might arise. The solution was to get out the Index and look it up in the Society's publications. Nothing about using your own brain.

  There was a demonstration featuring a father whose daughter approached him for permission to go to a school dance. Instead of reasoning with his daughter, the father said, "Let's get out the Index." They looked up a few references and the daughter was completely convinced that she should not attend the dance.

  In my Kool-Aid-drunken state I thought it was a good idea. Now I think it's horrifying.

  has anyone else recieved the letter from the gb about international conventions in 2014?

  according to the letter the missionarys/order of full time servants desperately need to get to the conventions in their homeland.

  so to accomplish this, jehovah needs 15 cents per publisher, per congregation for some months ( sorry i can't remember the exact length of time ).

  i am a fader and through the years i've known and spoken to jw's who live their entire life around the religion.

  they live as though they speak with jesus himself!

  what really got to me was the other day me and my wife had to stop by some elder's house and it was a saturday night.

  I was so hard core that I would prepare for the weekly bible reading assignment (the 4 or so chapters) by taking the large Index and look up all of the references for each of the verses. More than one brother asked to use my notes so he could substitute for the review part they used to have on the School.

  I'd do the same research for each of the cited scriptures in the WT study.

  And yet look - I'm here now!

  Maybe all that studying will help the family that WTWizard mentioned see TTATT.
