i ask this question because, having been on this forum for a year now, it's clear to me that there are many shades to so-called "apostasy", and this is particularly evident in the realm of anti-watchtower activism.. when i use the word "activism", likely picketing kingdom halls and conventions springs to mind.
however, activism can be far more subtle than that.
just having a website or a book that sheds light on the flaws of watchtower dogma is really a form of activism - arguably the most effective form at that.
If it weren't for the child sexual abuse issue and JWs who commit suicide I probably wouldn't feel a need to speak up at all.
I'm not one to attack doctrine as I feel it reinforces the siege mentality among JWs.
My blog is about the odd life JWs lead. I hope it raises questions in the minds of those who read it and gets them to reconsider.

just think of the logistics to organise a nation of people to accomplish this venture.people who say god provided.... just dont think.. they needed food ,clothing,utensils,tents,tools,fabric,livestock,for food & sacrifice,water,space between families,sanitary facilities,etc.etc.etc.. and don`t forget a generation had to die off before they could enter the promised land.. where is the evidence for any of this.. smiddy.

unless i was having one of my pipe dreams, the borg has said that we should only research new publications and articles published by them.. if there's a reference in a watchtower/awake!

There may not have been a formal declaration not to read older publications, but I do remember that when the CD-ROM library came out there was something said about the fact that it went back only to 1950, and that indicated that it might be "confusing" to read older pub's.
The reason this stands out is that I was somewhat offended by that. Here we had a KH library stuffed with books from Millenial Dawn and onward, but we were told not to read them.

Didn't the April Watchtower call apostates "mentally diseased?"
i always had my doubts about that but i was at least hopeful that all would work out as they said.
i saw so many "faithful ones" who were true believers expire before they got the prize, that i started to think it probably wouldn't happen in my lifetime.. what a bunch of suckers, huh?.
Hell, yes, I believed it. I was drinking the Kool-Aid with gusto.
