I can remember wanting to volunteer to help out in the community, but of course I couldn't. I had to repress those desires and try not to care.

Today's watchtower study... Ugh.

i mean almost all of them do but this one is one of those articles that takes things too far.. i mean they are condemning the people who are trying to help/save the earth because it's "satan's" world and instead are saying that religious salesmen with magazines are doing way more than the others!like are you f**king kidding me?another reason why i hated this study article is for what some of the young ones did in response to the study.
as one was unwrapping a piece of candy, he decided to throw the wrapper on the ground.

Notes from "Safeguard Your Conscience" Special Assembly Day
by WinstonSmith inrecently we had the 'privilege' of attending our local special assembly day.
the theme for this year was safeguard your conscience, and you guessed it, they looked up every reference to the word 'conscience' in the bible and then wrote a talk about each one.
it was most definitely a case of "pack your bags, we're going on a guilt trip.".

If, on a regular basis we ignore the prodding of our conscience, we can let ourselves drift away from Jehovah. We should not let our imperfect flesh guide us, but rather, holy spirit.
Hold the phone! Do you guys really and truly believe that the holy spirit is guiding you to protect pedophiles in the congregation?
I might add that my bible-trained conscience screamed at me to leave rather than remain "faithful" and be party to pedophilia.

Deteriorating content of the WT
by His Excellency inhas anyone noticed the recent deterioration in the quality of wt's contents lately?..
the spiritual food seems to be getting more and more shitty these days.
i have given a thought to what could really be going wrong, and if it is likely that some on the wiriting committee is consciously dishing out those nonsense to facilitate more poeple seeing ttat.

They've definitely dumbed it down over the past couple of decades. I can remember when I'd have to consult a dictionary while preparing for the WT study. Now they've got both dumb and dumber versions out each month.
Anyone remember the phrase "we oldsters of this generation?" It used to be liberally sprinkled throughout the literature. Was that a Freddie Franz special?

i was a born in but have been happy and free for 5 years and luckily for me my husband felt the same way and we have freed our children from being brainwashed.

by Witness 007 inim amazed how going witnessing sisters who knew me for decades would sit only in the back seat on the way to the hall...to avoid any sex at the traffic lights!!!
and chaperons 1840's style are needed because two witnesses alone for 10 minutes would go at it like animals even after all the training watchtower articles and talks being jahs clean org.

They Are Just Like The Amish (But with Electricity)

i may be straightforward and describe things in terms i have learned since reading about cults, but i was not over the top in any way.
i was simply stating the facts in a way that did not try to put any positive spin on anything.. my family member said, "so they are basically the amish but with televisions and electricity.

From what I've read, the Amish don't have a central organization, like the JW governing body, so I think it would be more like Amish are JWs unplugged and without the evil empire.

Love the idea of coloring the tips of your hair, but definitely use the temporary stuff.
