if you don't get legally married as long as you have a "spiritual marriage" in his latest video response to the situation of people coming forward complaining about the abusive religious tactics his "wife" practices and he condones.. i ask this question in a previous post but it deserves it's own discussion definitely:why is it that so many cult leaders have weird relationship issues and dysfunctional marriages?.

History repeats itself. All structures built with good intentions will have similar problems, until it becomes an abomination. There is no way to fix it. Should the followers of Jesus be organized, that's the question to ask. Wherever there is a desire for “unity” then there is a leadership, history just repeats again and again.

The situation with Eric's wife seems to be a typical Ellen G. White case. With a character like that, very soon she will become more prominent and will form the foundation for a new religion for the next generation. Tested and worked before, why should it be different now...

Believers should not be gathered under one roof. They should stay wherever they live and do good, be good neighbors, shine as lights, and fulfill their mission of being the salt of the earth.

i read this from a european blog.

i wonder how these sisters feel about their private details being available to these creepy elders?.

Elders (and upper levels) should only see details of those who have jwpub accounts, right?

I wouldn't be surprised if one day they ask all publishers to open an account to track them more easily.

the short answer is yes.. the longer answer is a qualified yes, with some caveats.

the short answer is yes because jehovah’s witnesses teach that jesus is michael the archangel, their leader, eldest and most powerful, and have taught this since the very beginning of the religion.

How many JW in the 1920's

i'm trying to find out how many jw there were globally in 1924, 1925, 1926, 1927 and 1928. the watchtower of 1926 says that there were 25,000 in attendance at the magdeburg convention for the public address, but the same watchtower say that one the last day of the convention there were 15,000 present, so i assume at least 10,000 were interested persons - non jw.

the watchtower 1955 says: "for this year of 1927 the number in attendance at the spring memorial internationally was 88,544, yet of these only some 18,602 were active as house-to-house kingdom announcers".

these statistics would seem to imply that the majority of jw in 1926 were at the magdeburg convention.

I highly recommend you to read the book 30 Years A Watctower Slave written by William J. Schnell. He lived in Germany in those years (1920-30s) and worked in important positions for the Organisation. He explains in detail how the pilot application initiated in Germany was adapted to the USA and from there to the whole world.

Members of congregation know it’s not true

we have lonely old folks and even some not so old.. they know the gb are not who they claim to be.. but they stay in the congregation because they are lonely.

i wonder what percentage of jws this is the case, i would guess a lot.

They all have something in common. All that needs to be done is for these people to come together, as often as possible!

If you can encourage (or plant the seeds in their minds) them to organize friendly meetings in such a way that elders are not alerted, they could motivate each other, share their observations, disconnect from the hypnosis and who knows, they may leave the congregation en masse.
