  organization and congregation seems to give so much attention to the pioneers and the hours.

  encouraging the members to get even the 30h at the month of c/o visit even if they don't complete the minimum of the hours.

  why do they give so much praise and attention to pioneers?

  You must have ranks and levels in any MLM scam. There has to be someone above to shame those below into action.

  It’s like the CO in my area said to the Elders, “You are the Shepherds of the sheep. Use the Shepherd’s Rod to drive the sheep into action. They won’t do anything unless you push them.”

  Then he talked about making the sheep jump over the rod to enter the fold. I asked, “Why would you ever force a tired sheep to jump something? Why not help them and let them rest. How can making them jump be loving?”

  I’m now an “Apostate” of course...

  If I was still a PIMO I would be thrilled. Wake up late, don’t drive anywhere or pay for a shitty hotel where I’m commanded to dress as a “delegate” at all times, ect. Don’t pay all the gas $$$. Don’t get all sweaty parking cars, or walking through hella crowded halls of sweaty dubs who are completely unaware of anyone in their mad dash for the “best” seats. I would be thrilled to not have my ass go numb in a shitty seat at facility that just hosted a Rodeo the week before and reeked of cow shit and was hot AF because the cheap ass douche bags kissing the the DO’s ass won’t run the AC...

  I would let the wife ( Ex now ) get dressed up if she wanted and I would NOT listen to the spiritual music program and I would NOT be in my seat on time, and I would NOT sing the dumb shit songs, and I WOULD eat my breakfast with coffee as I walked around in my underwear...

  The Japanese don’t traditionally have the same hang ups about nudity that Americans have. Whole families would have bath time, ect, so maybe it wasn’t a big deal to them at all?

  Even so, that’s one weird-ass experience to include in an article on obedience.

  That’s one hell of a controlling scripture if you think about it. Paul, or some modern day preacher can really keep the flock in line with that doozy of a verse..

  What if the being who reportedly appeared to Paul in a vision wasn’t really Jesus? Now here’s Paul basing his teaching on something that could be “Demonic” but he’s telling the flock not to believe Angels over his message.

  So if Jesus sends an Angel to someone and that message contradicts what Paul says...?

  What a marvelous passage to support any interpretation of the Gospel and to tell any given flock that you’re Da Troof, whatever your denomination.

  I remember being in the second grade and I didn’t understand why one of my teachers was mean to me and my Mom....

  I can still remember sitting in my Mom’s Station Wagon, and hearing her say, “They like to say the Organization said the world was ending in 1975, so our beliefs aren’t true.”

  Wow... It’s crazy the things we forget until the right stimulus comes along...
