  Fading fast children are starting to ask questions, need help.

  ok i have been fading fast, missed a lot of meetings over the past couple of months and the kids think its mostly do to my being busy with work.

  this morning was probably the first sunday that i was home and could go but did not.

  so my 8 year old asked me if i was going and why when i said no.

  Isnt it funny how God promised not to destroy the earth by flood again, and so he gave us the rainbow. However he promises to do far worse, rotting out eyes and tounges. I think I would rather drown thank you.

  Long serving pioneer no longer has hours quota to stay on the list...

  a family member visited us this past weekend and said that my 80 years old mother was recently told she no longer has to meet the annual hour quota to remain on the pioneer list.

  "what a loving provision from the brothers" were my sister's exact words.

  "mom was so stressed out with having to get her hours in every month" are you freaking kidding me?

  The basic message is this. If we have the experience of a 106 year old, cancer patients, people crossing mountain ranges, snake and crocadile infested swamps, military martial law checkpoints etc to get to meetings or pioneer... THEN YOU HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO VALID EXCUSE NOT TO YOURSELF!! If the excuse is you are too old, then Im sure you arent over 106 are you? Sick? Not worse than a cancer patient are you? Long distance? Not longer than a journey through a dangerous swamp is it? There are no excuses.

  Whatever happened to "my yoke is kindly and my load is light?"

  Baffling comment by my JW parents about non-witness funeral

  my parents attended the funeral of an elderly family member today.

  being out of state i was unable to attend.

  i asked how it went and was told that "worldly" people don't care enough about anyone to mention anything personal.

  It is amazing how they sometimes say really shocking things about others. Shocking because they are guilty of the same or worse. They never look honestly in the mirror.

  This reminds me of how in talks about the condition of the dead, they go on about how those in "christendom" have no real comfort, and no hope!

  I always thought, even when mentally in that it is a more comforting thought to believe that your dead loved one is happy, and pain free in heaven, and you can join them later, and they are with you, still loving you. To me this is more comforting than the JW teaching that the dead are not concious, rotting in the ground, to maybe be ressurected (really re-created) at some unknown future date, and maybe you can see them if you listen ond obey the GB well enough! Yet JWs will go on and on about how they have the most comforting bright hope!

  alleged " faithful slave " .

  I wish I did dread it, then I wouldnt be in the position I am today. Unfortunately, I was the opposite, to the effect that I am 25 and just had my 5th anniversary and have a 3 and a half year old, you do the math. I love my wife, but living a charade and struggling to wake her up is such a strain. Oh well time to go home and have some "Old Grand-Dad"

  Great points Flipper. The GB along with the organization is truly a Golden Calf, placing themselves in the position where they presumtuously tell Jesus what he WILL do (appoint them (something they have previously taught has already occured)), and HOW HE WILL FEEL about it(delighted) when he does. I hang my head in sadness. It is truly, truly sad that JWs continue to go for this scam. Its also sad for all the other cult members there are too. Its classic.. for a group of men to claim that the only way to God is through them, a modern day priest class. Yet so few se the naked truth as you have highlighted. This has been done for millenia. Sadly this will continue in one way or another as long as there are humans on this earth. Humans seem to be so gullible. This is so sad.

  I was born into this cult and was baptized at 12 because I felt it was the right thing to do. Now I have a wife and young child, and I have to rack my poor tired brain constantly, trying to think of anyway to help her think! Guess what? JWs dont want to think! Most I feel, want detailed rules and regulations from a human source. How do you help someone escape from a jail cell they dont want to leave because they think its the only safe place. They think that they are in the cage for their own safety and the bars are just up to keep out evil people bent on ending their spiritual life! They are confined for their own good, and thats the way they like it. Its not fair that I will be punished at age 25 and kept from everyone I know because I want to be true to myself and now no longer agree with what I commited to as a minor at age 12. I want out, but now I have to suffer the pain of being trapped in as a hostage, and watching as everyone swallowes the blasphemous rancid whale shit that Mr Flipper so masterfully highlighted, like its filet mingion! And listen to everyone say how greatful they are for it. They are getting punched in the gut and begging for more. Getting their lives and futures raped from them by charlatans who demand they be RECOGNIZED and they beg for more pounding! UGH I hate them with my whole being. Guess Im just a ranting mentally ill person like they say we are. sorry for the rant

  ... that they actually have more of a desire to get to knoww you then jehovah's witnesses.

  for years at the kingdom hall although i was an elder everyone "knew of me" but no one knew me.

  i realized that i never really had a friend who knew anything about me as a person or my background.

  Nice observations and I couldnt agree more. When my JW wife and I go to All inclusive resorts in the DR, Mexico, or on a cruise, we make good friends with other couples quickly, and connect more with them than we do with couples in our own congregation. They just feel more genuine, not trying to keep up appearances/

  Great points guys! When is the last time these were cited in a WT or public talk? Hardly ever or never. If they do the average dub still wont see the hypocrisy, they will just apply it to "Babylon the Great" and all their manmade rules and traditions. All while not looking in the mirror.
