the last gathering i went to, i was impressed by how submissive and compliant the young men were.
more like sweet little old ladies (not knocking old women here).
they were socially inept, and non-assertive.
This religion "castrates" and sucks the life out of its members. Yet they believe they are in a spiritual paradise. They are in a spiritual hell.
By the skillful and sustained use of propaganda, one can make a people see even heaven as hell or an extremely wretched life as paradise.
so, i have been thinking...what is the formula or recipe for the "perfect jw"?.
here are a few points i thought of...please feel free to add!.
always dress in the jw manner...no variation in clothing / hair styles / facial hair.
Put "Jehovah" aka the 7 GB members and their current teachings above:
Your spouse
Your Children
Your siblings
Your friends
You or your childs life
Your freedom.
Be ready to shun parents, children, and siblings and anyone else at the drop of a hat, without ever knowing the reason.
Be willing to not allow your children to have birthday parties, holidays, a college education, friends, school sports and clubs, voting for of being class president, not allow normal dating for teens, guilt trip them for masturbation etc...
Be willing to sacrifice your education, career, athletic or academic talents, time and money to the service of an organization that has said the end is imminent for the last 140 years.

I asked my die hard JW wife: if she heard a voice in her head say it was Jehovah, and tell her to drown our two daughters in the Niagara River to show her obedience, would she do it? She said no and she would get mental health evaluation if she heard a voice claiming to be god in her head tell her to kill her kids. (I was relieved to hear this, because she has said a couple weeks ago she would let our children die because of a FDS decree, even if she knew they were wrong. She would be obedient. I told her, thats when I would come in and save them)
How anyone can view this as a healthy expression of faith and a nice story is beyond me. Of course, the canned JW response would be that Abraham knew Je-hover could resurrect Isacc if Abraham was obedient. *************PUKE~!!!

Good video. I like the whole channel. If God was good, the test would have been failed by Abraham. If I was god and administered the same test, I would not be looking for obedience, but for Abraham to refuse to kill his son. His maintaining basic ethics in the face of a divine decree would be what I was looking for. No god who would ask someone to do this is worthy of worship.
I find this account as well as the account of Job, as well as mostly all of Genesis very disturbing. The God of the bible is a moral monster. If someone truly was to have "the mind of god" they would be imprisoned as a psycopath.

This lesson will not help young people to stay. It will not reach their heart. At least in the 60s and early 70s they had 1975 looming when they told their followers not to go to college and get good jobs. At least a young person could rationalize not doing those things because the end was mere months away. Now they do not have that card to play. They are in for the long haul now. Now all they have is promoting fear of the outside world and implanting subconcions and concious phobias about ever leaving. They hope the fear of shunning, and unreasonably thinking the world offers nothing but unwanted pregnancies, STDS and getting hit by cars. Seriously they have been pushing the idea that leaving the WT will get you hit by a car lately. Anyone notice this? It was even in the latest DVD from the RC! The dads story when he tried to keep the son in the WT included a story about a fatal car crash which had nothing to do with the issues, just a blatant implanting of fear onto the idea of ever leaving. Sick fucks.

I would like to see how the elders would deal with a JW cancer patient who can only keep food down, or avoid other harmful side affects while on chemo by smoking MJ.
I would also like to see how they handle someone taking it for chronic pain. Sure MJ is a drug, but has far less side effects and is less addictive than other drugs like oxycotin among others. I would love to see their argument against it where it is legal.
I personally know a young co worker of mine who had brain cancer at age 23. He told me the only way he could eat and keep food down while on chemo is by smoking MJ. It is so sad to see state govts be so slow to allow these suffering people relief.

The part on page 30 paragraph 13 stood out to me where they compared trying out life "in the world" to jumping in front of a moving car on the highway. That is phobia indoctrination 101. Compare life outside the group to getting hit by a speeding car to see how painful it is? Wow. I dont know how people can read this stuff with a straight face, nod and believe it is godly wisdom. The comparison is so flawed that I cannot even formulate clear thoughts about it.
Also the writing style continues to be dumbed down. It seems that the regular WT is becoming more and more simplistic and dumbed down in its style and wording. The regular edition now is what a simplified edition would have been 2 years ago. The simplified is beginning to read like a Dr Suess book.
in january or february of this year, my father was df'd for viewing pornography.
he was diagnosed with a rare-ish lung cancer in august, it doesn't have good recovery odds.

Newsflash! All heterosexual men with active testosterone in their veins look at other women. Either they will admit to it or deny it but it is true. I believe it is normal behaviour. I am not talking about being a creep about it or leering. It is so crazy to me that some women think that by reading a few sentences on your wedding day, you can instanty stop noticing attractive women. Pornography can become an addiction like anything else, but like anything else, if kept in moderation it is harmless. If my wife was looking at porn, and I caught her at it, I would not be jealous at all. They are just images on a screen. If my wife is at the gym and notices a well built handsome man and likes what she sees, will it bother me? NO. Now if she got his number and went behind my back with him that is another issue entirely.
