Im not sure. Im 75% sure I will be grilled at some point. If I agreed, It would only be so my wife could see how unjust things are when they DF me for not believing in a literal 144,000 Generation teaching, Noahs flood, 1914 etc. It would be for a purpose. If I go, I will record it. On the other hand, I may just refuse to give them any ammo and decline any attempts to talk. But really I want out, and since I have not gone in FS in 5 months and once in the past 9 months its only a matter of time before things come to a head.

I dont understand why this was blown up into this big of a deal. There are police shootings everyday, some justified, some borderline, some clear crimes. There are videos emerging every month of cops gunning down people in cold blood who are running away, surrendering, etc. This was NOT one of those cases. The media subsists on race baiting and division.
Google Kelly Thomas. Read his story, look at the images. Why is he not deserving of coverage??
He was beaten for over 30 minutes, stomped, kicked and tazed. He was mentally ill and caled out for daddy through the beating. The officers were aquitted. The video is on youtube if you have the stomach for it. Had he been black, I am certain this woud have been made into a race issue, when the real issue was police brutality.
In the following video you can see the police in Long Beach gun down an unarmed FLEEING man. No charges. Why no outrage? Why no national coverage? Why no riots?

My wife, who had the flu and a fever yesterday has just gone out to "meet the group" She feels she has to because she signed up for the 30 hour pioneer for the month. She had a look on her face so I knew not to say crap about it. Its just not balanced.

by OneEyedJoe inso i'm listening to the regional manager give his mid week talk and he's going over acts 15 where they're dealing with the issues that arrose from the jewish christians wanting the gentile christians to adhear too the mosaic law, so some of the apostles gathered to hash it out.
it struck me, though, that he kept using the phrase "the governing body at that time" to describe the apostles and older men who decided on the matter.
once he even slipped up and said apostles, then corrected it to the gb.. i'm thinking that they've actually gone so far as to put it in his outline to make sure its beaten into the r/f that the gb's power is somehow based in scripture.

THERE is no real reason given for JWs not to celebrate the holiday. It always seemed like this fell under, its a worldly hoiday and we are no part of the world type catergory. JWs dont celebrate anything else so the feel awkward doing thanksgiving.

Its lots of things, but first I came to the realization that even if the "Paradise Earth" was true, it was not a place I would want to be. It sounded more like hell. I did not want to spend eternity eating fruit and going to endless meetings. I could see that it would be an opressive place. When I first lurked on this site, I used the search feature to look up stories from bethel. If that was Jehovahs house I reasoned, I would not want to live in that regimented environment extended worldwide. After that the UN scandal and the surrounding lies and hypocrisy really started me down the road to real research and questioning everything objectively.

I'm here in buffalo! this storm has mainly affected the southern part of the city and southern and Eastern suburbs. I live in the northern part of the city. I only have around 9 inches of snow to deal with. 10 minutes down the road they have almost 7 feet in some spots! Cars are buried, snow coming up to the top of peoples front doors! The same areas that have the 5-7 feet are expected to get 2 more feet today! The nature of lake effect snow here is such that on one street you can have bare pavement, a few blocks over disaster! So far 8 deaths have been blamed on this storm. One man was found dead in his car buried under 20 feet of snow. a few miles to my north there is just a dusting of snow. some people have been trapped inside since Tuesday and probably will be for a couple more days. I hope they have enough food. Half the area has a ban on travel. The national guard has been deployed. The good news is, very few power outages.

They were guilty of false prophesying. Why? What was missing? Missing was the full measure of evidence required in fulfillment of Bible prophecy. Missing from such people were God's truths and the evidence that he was guiding and using them. But what about today? Today we have the evidence required, all of it. And it is overwhelming!

I think the JWs are jealous of the Mormons success and copy them. The Mormons had family home evening, then the GB copied it and instituted family worship evening. Even the name is almost identical.
