  Wonderful video, Highly suggest watching the whole thing.

  As bad as the JW shunning is, some groups of muslims actually have fathers and brothers behead those young women that leave islam. Honor killings. At least all JWs can do is just pretent you are dead.

  That talk is such an example of ad hominem it is almost unbelieveable if it wasnt for the fact he almost read word for word from a previous WT article. This is why they dont want college educated JWs. They would be more likely to spot the Ad hominem attacks and flimsy nature of their attacks and would be more likely to see through the lies.

  Truly sickening, just like the lovely young woman brought out, that our JW family members are being taught to think of us either now, or when we come out as the Devils little tools, dancing on his strings, chefs in his kitchen of death. You cant make this stuff up.

  if he created them, then he would have had to use divine intervention to protect people from eating them or burning them.

  even after being told not to and passing that knlowedge on, small children could inadvertently get into poison berries or mushrooms.

  what about bacteria that causes extreme stomach problems like giardia?

  And what about the lengths to which animals camoflage themselves? A JW can sit and watch a program on the amazing camoflage of the cuttlefish, mimic octopus, chamelion, frogs that look like leaves, fish that look like dead leaves, octopus and squid getaway ink, porcupine quills, skunk spray, and the list goes on and on and on.... The JW watching will say look at the marvels of Jehovahs creation, meanwhile they dont think about why do they have all of these defenses if everything got along and there were no carnivores?

  Also if there was no predation, what would keep the animal numbers in line and in balance?

  I just want a divorce!

  hi there, this is my first post, but i've been buzzing around this site for years.. i got married at 18, hubby was 20, i was a regular pioneer and we were talking about serving in bethel.

  fast forward - i left in 2004 after a 5 year battle with my conscience, family and friends who kept insisting that i was just "weak and needed to have another bible study".

  however hubby and i stayed together although it was kinda on the understanding that we would just not talk about it.

  What a messy situation.. Me personally, since I wouldnt want anything to do with the org anyway.. I would give him the grounds he wants. File for divorce, start dating etc.. All that is needed for a JW divorce is staying overnight in someone of the opposite sex home.. Maybe try this, even if nothing happenes the marriage can be officially over. However, if you want to stay a JW you are surely in a terrible situation. I personally wouldnt waste 30 years in the unscriptural divorce vs scriptural limbo. If things arent going to work out I would just move on and let the chips fall where they may.

  i have thought a lot about what to say when i am approached.

  it will kill my fade, but oh well.. "after the new light i had to test my faith and i couldn't prove to myself that the slave was limited to the governing body.".

  if cornered by an elder...."can you prove to me from the scriptures that matt.

  I really like your well reasoned, logical responses, and may tailor them to my wife. However, to use these on the elders will not win you any respect, will bring even more attention/investigation upon you. If you go this route you likely will be meeting with 3 elders in the crying room. If that happens, please record it for others! If you just want to fade quietly, just cite depression, anxiety attacks, discouragement etc.. even say that you feel like ending it all, especially when people try to pressure you.. That should make them leave you alone.

  Remember, you dont owe these people anything.. Only spouse, and immediate family. Even with them you must season your words with salt.

  i remember there being 'admonition(tm)' from the platform about how disrespectful it is to sky twat jar hoover if we nod off when speaking to our imaginary despot god.. i was always nodding off when praying.

  i noticed in the end it didn't matter if i prayed or not the results were always equally disappointing snooze or not!.

  Because just look at who Jehovah used in the Bible. Less than desirable charachters. Was he any worse than David, Solomon etc? I rate him better than Joshua who orchestrated a genocide/ethnic cleansing killing millions. Ill take drunken Judge Rutherford over Jehovahs annointed servants Joshua or Jehu.

  "true christians"

  i have seen so many references to "true cristians".

  it is kind of an annoyance.

  the comment usually starts with, "well true christians" or something seperating one class of cheistian against a "not tru christian".. see the thing is that the "true christians" have to claim the "not true christians" because they all study the same book.

  This has always has angered me.. If a person puts faith in Christ and follows his example, then they are a true christian. JWs are the least Christian denomination on average I have seen, as there is no true love and Christ Jesus is barely mentioned. In a Christian group almost all focus should be on Christ, as it was in the NT. JWs emphasis is on Jehovah, and the FDS. Christ is an annoying necessity to them. They actually resemble the Pharisees, and are closer to the Man of lawlessness/antichrist seeing as they deny Christs role as mediator, downplay his importance, and deny the hope he offered of heavenly life to the R+F JWs.

  Even worse than the term true Christians, is their term, sincere and professed Christians. This insinuates that all others are insincere, dishonest, and frauds.

  While calling themselves True Christians, they insult all other Christians and it is ironic that they are not Christian acting, not showing real love/fruitages of the spirit.
