i thought it would be interesting for people to just post a few things about themselves so we can get to know each other just a bit.. try posting 10 facts about your life.. joel.

1. i was born and raised in south georgia.. 2. my favorite subject in school was math.. 3. i was in the fulltime service (bethel and pioneer) for 4 years.. 4. my favorite color is blue.. 5. mitch and i have been together over 12 years.. 6. we live in a suburb of atlanta georgia.. 7. we love to eat out and have friends over for dinner and board games.. 8. the only sport i was ever any good at is tennis.. 9. my favorite tv show of all time is the simpsons.. 10. we are both naturists and wish we could lay on the beach naked every day.

satanism, witchcraft and devil worship. . . . . .

contrary to popular belief and what society and the media will portray satanism, devil worship and witchcraft are 3 very independent systems of belief, .

sure, to those who are afraid of looking into books dealing with the occult, for fear of being possessed or what have you, i write this as a vent because it makes me laugh when i hear people assume that the three are the same, they aren't, .

and the reality is that even though the three get bunched up as the same, many times it is the ignorance of the practitioners which keeps the ignorance alive.

It is interesting that Satanism and the Satanic Bible focus on putting yourself and your needs above anything else. It's not about sacrificing chickens and virgins like most people assume.

Satanism has been sensationalized and demonized, when in reality, when taken for what it is, it really isn't all that controversial.

DC, you introduced me to L'ame Immortelle. This is my favorite verse from "Love is Lost"

It's not the evil from down below
Which creeps and lurks under the snow
It's not of Satan's will we fall
It's due to the evil in us all

It's easy to blame satan when bad things happen because to recognize that some people are willfully evil is too scary.

1. I love scary movies. The problem is, I watch them and then freak myself out at night so when it's bedtime, I first dwell on how scared I am, then I hurry and turn off the light, run across my room, and jump onto my bed before the boogeyman catches me. Sad, but true.

2. I love music. Led Zeppelin, Sarah McLachlan, The Cure, Beastie Boys, Jimi Hendrix, are some of my all time favorites. I could go on but I don't want anyone to die of boredom.

3. I collect frogs. Not real ones.

4. I am an interior design freak.

5. I love George Carlin and Chris Rock. CB4 is one of the funniest movies I've ever seen in my entire life.

6. I hate Blue Jays. There is a family of them in the tree outside of my bedroom window and I would like to shoot them because they are so damn loud.

7. I'm married. My husband is a laugh riot. He makes me just about pee my pants sometimes because I'm laughing so hard. We have no children, nor will we ever. That is a good thing.

8. I love my family and friends more than anything. I'm fortunate to know real love.

9. I'm fascinated by gemstones and astronomy.

10. I don't brush my teeth in the shower.

No more hiding!!!

well, here is my real picture.. i have decided to stop hiding and show my real face.. i hid behind an artificial facade (data) for a long time, fearful of facing the consequences of deciding that my former beliefs were incorrect.. i made the concrete decision in march of this year that jehovahs witnesses do not have the truth and in fact that they were totally wrong.. however, since i have been inactive for 5 years and i do have some people that i care about still in the organization, i decided that i would not reveal who i was so that i did not lose my friends and family.. however, i have now decided to be who i am and my change in my picture icon represents that change.

the consequences are still the same, and i am likely to lose most if not all of my borg friends, but that is the consequence of my decision.. no more hiding for me .

the approach of ex-jehovah's witnesses towards those still witnesses has been debated since the problem first occurred.

personally i joined the ranks of ex-witnesses in 1988 and found myself more or less thrown into the fray appearing in media like newspapers, radio and tv.

one of the first things i noticed was the interest bestowed upon me from competing churches, particularly from the pentecostalism camp.

the week from hell...I need input please!

i just found out my best friend died this morning.

i'm not looking for sympathy, i just need some input.

we were very close and worked together volunteering for the aids foundation here in my hometown.
