When they played the child rendition at the District Convention...
It woke me up from my nap. LOL
1. if we have listened to herd, we will show it.. his demands oppress, and screw up our day.. it makes us unhappy to hear and to know it,.
and well be stressed if we know and obey.. (chorus).
2. this way of life, like a jail, is a sentence.

i always believed i was saving lives on the ministry, it's why i took it so seriously.
upon realising i wasted all those years working for a book publishing business, pioneering etc, i felt so hollow.
all those years feeling fulfilled, feeling like i was making a difference.. vacuumed out instantaneously leaving nothing but a feeling of being duped out of the worlds most precious commodity... life years, and to top it all off i had not helped a single soul, quite the opposite.. .
Congratulations on your hard work!
Thank you for sharing your experience; it is really motivating. I want to go into the medical profession as well. I'm finishing a bachelor of science in nursing (4 years) right now, but I'm undecided about going back to finish my pre-reqs for medical school. I put off going for doctor (at least 10-11 years, depending on residency) because I thought Armageddon was just around the corner, and that Jehovah disapproved of higher education. I felt so guilty for going to college.
part of this has been discussed to death on here but here goes.
since waking up, i've read or listened to: .
crisis of conscience.
My list of books includes those, but I haven't even finished one of them, not even Crisis of Conscience. I can't get myself to finish reading CoC because I also just don't care anymore. I've read plenty on JWN to deprogram me.
girl at work gave me one of these.
i was very appreciative of her doing so, yet too embarrased to ask her what it was.
i thought it was the toyota logo at first.
I saw an angel too
hope this is not a repost 2 minute video.

yes, it spends half the video blaming the victim for "inviting" sexual harassment..
Are they trying to make it seem like they're interviewing random passersby?
' cultivate the spirit of a lesser one ' to be studied january 7-13.... " a humble person has heartfelt gratitude for jehovah's provisions, including spiritual food.
hence, such an individual is a diligent student of the bible and an avid reader of the watchtower and awake!
magazines.
It sounds like a throwback to Russel's claims that one could not understand God's word without his books.
I have NEVER seen an illustration of someone studying just the bible. There's always the Insight book next to it and a Watchtower magazine.
please does anyone know if it will be, or is available yet, and if a download link exists yet?.
Thank you. You saved me a trip to the KH.
i've had netflix for a long time, but it can be very disappointing.
i like streaming movies and tv shows, but netflix has a lot less to offer in the streaming department than in the dvds it mails.
amazon's prime is less expensive, and sometimes it has the stuff i want, but a lot of the time it doesn't either.. i suppose the different companies make different agreements with movie distributors.
If you order a lot from Amazon, then go with Amazon Prime becasue of the two-day shipping. I don't use either of them, but I'd probably go with Netflix.
i'm ready to get my sewing machines out of hiding, and will be sewing once again this winter.
i'd like to start quilting again, as it is fun to do, eases stress, and is healthier than just sitting in front of the tv.
i have even designed a few items of clothing in the past that i have sold, although i am by no means another madeleine vionet or issey miyake-lol.. i've always liked sewing machines even as a child (much to the dismay of my parents-lol), and there are a couple favorites that i have had for many years.
"... and it makes their wives happy as they have something that they can do together that is fun."
I bet... and Minimus, you should try it!

I took home economics in high school because I wanted to learn how to cook, and sewing was part of the curriculum. Didn't learn much about sewing except for a few sewing machine stitches, and cooking was a big disappointment because it was mainly baking. The Singer treadle machine you mentioned is very nice.
Oh, and now that I remember, an aunt gifted me a knitting board so that I could make a scarf during the winter (like 2 or 3 years ago), but I never finished it, lol. Too much work. It's in a drawer somewhere (unfinished).
