I haven't wrote a talk since 1988. And guess what?? I don't miss it a bit.. hehehehe

in the new thread posted by obie fernandez,.
things look a little askew....imho.. as quite a few of you know, obie was the owner/moderator of witnet before he closed it and moved on to greener...um...apostate pastures.. he's a great guy, that's not the point...... however, i logged on this morning to see this new thread, it had an amazing 336 views in under an hour or so....and only 3 comments!!!.
i'm guessing there's a ton of wt watchers on here....they all know obie.
That is a great observation. So many views so fast and only 3 replies does not add up. Well once again I give the Watchtower police my thoughts of them as they read this post

there was some discussion here over the weekend concerning recollections of the australian branch engaging in commercial activities in the past.. the proclaimers book has a discussion of this and for those who may not have read it, i've 'cut and pasted' it here:.
a related problem arose in australia starting in 1938 and escalated during the ban on the society (january 1941 to june 1943).
in order to care for what at the time seemed to be valid needs, the branch office of the society got directly involved in a variety of commercial activities.
So what are they saying here? They sold donuts to the military and couldn't live with themselves or something?? LOL... Gotta love it though.

i have had a week to reflect on my life and was thinking about what i have seen, what i am going through, and where i am going.
i know many of you here experience unbelievable pain, suffering, anger, depression, and disbelief.
i have lived with these myself.
Wonderful post Justin. It does make you think very deeply.

leander's final day at the tower, has made me wonder, about why the big fuss when people leave?
we try to tip toe out, shutting the door quietly as we go, but inevitably the game of cat and mouse begins.
what is behind the big fuss?
my little brother can't talk to me because my mom qouted a proverb "he that has dealings with the stupid one will fare badly" and i am the stupid one...
Katie,
I think the person that reasons that way to not have dealings with you because you don't go to their meetings would qualify as the "stupid one" certainly not you.

I think it's a combination of losing control over somebody, and the instilled belief that nobody can or would just leave without some wrongdoing of some sort. So being what they are trained to be they go looking for the dirt and either regain control of the person or oust them officially. It's a ridiculous cycle I think.

i wonder if the watchtower will use the same tactic as the hare krishnas.. devon.
>>hare krishnas to declare bankruptcy to avoid abuse lawsuit.
hare krishna congregations named in a lawsuit alleging sexual and emotional abuse of boarding school students will file for bankruptcy to avoid being sued.. a spokesman for the hindu sect said about a dozen congregations will start filing for bankruptcy reorganisation next week in several states.. the group hopes that if their plan is approved by federal bankruptcy judges, the $400 million (280 million) lawsuit filed in dallas by former boarding school students will be dismissed.. anuttama dasa, a maryland-based spokesman for the international society of krishna consciousness, or iskcon, said: "we don't believe that innocent members and congregations should be held accountable for the deviant behaviour of individual acts committed 20 or 30 years ago.".
Always possible, but I wouldn't hold my breath. WOuld be nice though, just to add to even more bad press for them.

the following was posted in my guestbook today.
rather than offer a comment i think the words speak for themselves.. silentlambs.
time: .
That is terrible. How people can reason away something that way is insane to me. I could not get into a discussion with someone like that without punching them out I'm afraid. They really don't get it and that is sad but at the same time dangerous.
