Joanna,
You mean all newbies AREN'T trolls?
i reckon it must be great for all the 20 + something ex-jw's who visit this site!.
think about it, if you will for a moment.
when the 20 + somethings were still jw's, they had to respect the "older men", show respect for the "hoary head", be subservient to the "elders".. then they come here to find farkel, uncle bruce, larc, me and a whole host of over age 50 insubordinate silver surfers, all giving their respective 2 fingers to the wtbts.

.
well, i'm a little on the jealous side.. i always here of posters here who seem to personally know each other....of coarse not most.....but many.
just curious who knows who in the flesh?..........well partially covered flesh anyways.. when you meet them for the first time....are they way different than you expected?.
What a fine looking group of apostates smiling at me from Ballistic's post.
I have met Recoveringexjw. What a fine guy he is.
Tonight I meet Athanasius and it should be fun.
I haven't met many posters in person but am working on it. I am trying to get Alan F to help me get an entourage together to go to Europe for a huge apostofest. Wouldn't that be fun?

Expat,
LOL...Thanks for the chick flick alert warning! God, I hate chick flicks. Sleepless in Seattle made me wanna hurl.
Mega,
Took your advice and watched Godfather III. What a great movie. I don't know why I waited so long to see the Godfather movies.

I think this has to be the worst movie I have ever seen in my life. The scenery was beautiful though. I rented this video because you all recommended it.
You owe me $3.99, American.

Robyn

1 tbs of butter .
2 tsp lime juice--or to taste .
5. return to pot, add cream, maple syrup and lime juice.
Shutterbug,
When I mention this recipe to some people, they say "yuk" when they hear sweet potato. I just don't get it. LOL
JGnat,
Agreed. No need to tell your meat and potatoes man what is in the soup. It's a great little recipe.
Patio,
Yes, with cornbread and honey butter, it is a sweet treat.
Thanks for your response, everybody.
Love,
Robyn
as a loyal witness, i often considered the words of
galatians 5:22,23
the apostle paul's words there list what are known as the "fruitages of the spirit".
Matty,
Good post. I like this list of the Fruitages of the Spirit. I forget which Bible translation it is from:
Love
Joy
Peace
Patience (Long suffering)
Kindness
Mildness
Goodness
Faith
Self Control
I believe that to be a total person, one who is human and divine, we should be well versed in both the Fruitages of the Spirit and the Works of the Flesh. To deny one or the other is to deny who we are. Sometimes the Works of the Flesh can lead to the Fruitages of the Spirit. Sometimes the Fruitages of the Spirit can lead to the Works of the Flesh. God gave us this life to live and enjoy.
Drink deeply from the cup of Life, learn what you can.
Love,
Robyn

the sun once glimpsed god's true nature .
thus that radiant sphere .
constantly pours its energy .
The sun once glimpsed God's true nature
And has never been the same.
Thus that radiant sphere
Constantly pours its energy
Upon this earth
As does He from behind
The veil.
With a wonderful God like that
Why isn't everyone a screaming drunk?
My guess is this:
Any thought that you are better or less
Than another man
Quickly
Breaks the wine
Glass

the red commentary is mine.
i can't help it!
I used to think that JW were selfless. That they were trying to save the world from God's wrath at Armageddon. Now I think that their motive could be selfish. I have heard too many JW talk about blood guilt if they do not do the ministry work. Blood guilt and God's anger at them for not spreading the good news. You have to wonder if they preach from door to door to save their own asses.
