this is what happened.. at the office they have a cd player and so they decided they would take turns playing a particular style of music each day.. my friend said, the jw had no problems with rap and its explicit lyrics, or the rock with his sex and drugs, but the moment they play contemporary christian music she caught a fit and they shut down the whole thing because of her complaint.

Boogles my mind, how JW's have no problems listening to sex, drugs and rock n roll, but God forbid they listen to praise music.

But then again, without sex, drugs (lithium, xanex, etc) and rock n roll, how are they going to make more little JW's?

Help please - my wife wants a divorce

i've read some old posts and they don't really fit my situation.. my wife just told me she wants a divorce and that's it after nearly 20 years., she doesn't want to try to work on it.. other posts talk about friends and family.

i have no family and no friends (due to a lot of traveling).. i went back to my hometown a year ago (after many years away) and even then old friends treated me as a stranger, like they've moved on.. i've had a lot of emotional / mental problems, basically a breakdown so have found it impossible to fulfill my role as a husband for many years, emotionally and physically and she said she's had enough, although she's never talked about it before.. she went out and had an unplanned one-night-stand.

i forgive me but she says she doesn't love me anymore.. we both find it very difficult to communicate our feelings.

She's changed. For all the years I've known her, she's been the kindest most selfless person I've ever known. Not just with me, with whoever she comes in contact. Everyone has always commented on the fact that she is always smiling. She says she's been a people-pleaser her whole life and now it's time to think about herself and what she wants.

Gee, I wonder why she changed. Surely you had nothing to do with it?

All religion is based on fear and superstition. I have never singled out Jews. When it comes to exposing the lies and manipulation of religions, I think everyone here will agree I have been "equal opportunity"!

Except for the Muslims, right? Maybe I've just missed your threads about the fear and superstition of Muslims but I have seen a couple where you support them--against Israel, of course.
