Have You Had Any "Blessings" Since You've Left The Truth?

I have experienced many blessings since leaving the JW's.

First of all I recieved salvation and now have Jesus as Lord and Savior.

Second I have the Body of Christ, to enjoy fellowship with other Christians.

I now am closer to my "worldly" relatives. I started an exjw group on yahoo and have met many exjw's and have even had the opportunity to help others "out".

I have had the priviledge of meeting and becoming friends with Paul Blizard and his family. See:http://www.watchthetower.com

I have a peace in my life that is unexplainable. I am blessed that I do not have to get up on some cold saturday morning to go out in the Field Ministry.

If I miss church, I don't piss anyone off. Oh I guess I could go on and on about the blessings that I have since Jumping over the walls of the Watchtower.

Militant Apostates

i'm wondering if there are many truly militant apostates out there....... some real god hating watchtower bashing hard guys....i just read the "bill bowen update" thread and feel that all opposition is good opposition, and knowing that the wt society can see any posts we make, also feel its a shame they can see squabbles among their enemies.

If so where are they organized and where can I sign up. Actually I did offer on more than one occassion to whip an elders ass, suppose that's why they don't bother with me.

I have been out and quite active as an anti JW for a couple of years and they still haven't disfellowshipped me.

The elders and their leaders at Watchtower headquarters are a JOKE. I defy them, their beliefs and their false god.

"Reinstatement Party" Called Off Per The Society

a number of weeks ago, i mentioned how my niece was seeking reinstatement.

well, after all was said and done, the elders allowed her back in.

my brother and his wife were giving her a little "coming back" party with about a total of 35 guests.

Well you can bet the angels party everytime someone is Df'd. LOL

Years ago some friends and I had a party for a guy that was going to be disfellowshipped the next night.

We had like a going away party for him. LOL . I was so rebellious., as I always hated their control.

I knew eventually i would get out- but why did it take so long? I still laugh at the times my grandmother would say we were brainwashed, How right she was!!!!!!!!!!!

If you decided to try a church, which one would you try?and why?

i have been thinking of doing something i have wanted to for along time, just to see, that is go to a church.

i guess i am a little afraid , or nervous , more than anything, but i feel i ready to venture out there and see what it is about,,,,,,,,,,,lol, i might not stay , i just want to try it.. i just want to give it a chance and right now i have no reason why i shouldnt if i go in with my eyes open.

i dont know what religion to start with,,,,,,,,, i figure this may be a journey on finding what feels right to me, or it could end up i stay home and do my own worship , who knows.. i know there are many christains on this board and i would be interested in hearing why you choose the faith you did, if it is methodist, catholic, baptist, or other mainstream ones.. i am also interested in other forms of religion some have choosen, and why?

I wondered the same thing. I asked around and prayed. The Holy Spirit led my wife and I to a Southern Baptist Church that we love.

We also enjoy accompanying friends of ours ( most exJw's) to various churches. One in particular is a Methodist Church. The Body of Christ includes the various denominations.

It is just nice to be free from the darkness that is contained in the walls of the Watchtower.

Praise God. Let him choose where he would want you to attend.

Jobs that the WTS doesn't approve of

there were several different careers that the wts did not aprove of.

such as a being a cop, for having a gun.

couldn't be a martial arts instructor.. maybe it was a well paying career.. did you have a job that was not approved of?

They defintley encourage their people to quit their jobs if it interferes with meeting attendance, field ministry or the assemblies. God forbid you miss one day of recieving W/T B.S. or distributing their B.S.

Bill Bowen's unfortunate attack

like carl olof jonsson, this is the first time i have ever written to this forum.

i have decided to do so, however, because i am saddened at what bill bowen has chosen to do in reference to ray franz.

let me say that i given bill full marks for publicizing an issue child abuse and the watchtower cover up of it and for taking a stand that has cost him a great deal personally.

I have supported SilentLambs and will continue to do so. However I can not agree with Bill on this issue and his attack on Ray Franz. Just because one is not in agreement with another is no cause to discredit that person, Bill provides no "proof" that Ray was the author of the policy inforced by JWs.

Only Accusations and enuendos. While I think it is great that Bill is fighting the WT and for the innocent victims, I have often wondered why he also fought to not be disfellowshipped.

I would wear that as a banner. I do not agree with Bill, Ray or anyothers who still support the Watchtowers Doctrinal Beliefs or their Religion(CULT).

They have never had the truth. You don't have truth then loose it. This is proof that JESUS is The Way, The Truth and The Life.

I have read both of Ray's books and I got a clearer picture of the Watchtower Society and it only backed what I had felt about this disgusting apostate religion ( antichrist ). I also saw the Watchtower Society clearer through Bill's Coming out with Silentlambs. So I personally thank them Both For that.

Please Sirs be gentlemen about it. You both think that while the Watchtower is wrong in certain areas you still believe in some of their so called truths, and that is where I differ with you both. This is a dangerous cult and you both should be warning others about becoming a JW, and should be witnessing to others about Christ.

a friend and i want to organize a get together this summer with all the kids we grew up with in the borg back in the 70's and early 80's.

I grew up in the Clio Congregation. I am now living in WV. Still have family in Clio that are Jw's.

I am now a Southern Baptist though. I also know people from the Imlay City Cong. and ones from Washington Cong.. I also knew some from the Flint area.

Someone mentioned earlier that those who publicly support Mr. Anderson or the SilentLambs will be disfellowshipped.

Well Let be the First to say right here that I Support them and I do not care the consequences.

If anyone from headquarters or the Local Kingdom Hall wants to know I support not only the Silent Lambs, But I support all who are or have ever been disfellowshipped or disassociated and I fully Support anyone that the Watchtower Organization calls Apostate.

For their (the WTBS) thoughts are not God's Thoughts and their ways are not God's Ways.
