I thought I would not like it bacause of like the class room setting. However, I really do like the on-line classes. Yes, they are harder and require more assigned papers and work, but the convenience of being in your own comfort zone and not have to rush to a class ( after work) is great.

Yates verdict

the andrea yates verdict came down again and it was not guilty.

she will be sent to a mental facility instead of prison where in time, and after therapy, she may in all liklihood be reintegrated into society at some point.

what do you think of the verdict?

I suffered post-partum depression when I had my daughter. When she was about 3 months olds I was so depressed, sick (I had a very bad pregnancy that had me sick for two years after giving birth by C-Section), and physically tired that I went to an upstairs window with her in tow. I called my mother who was downstairs and she quickly ran up-stairs and took her away from me. I was not insane but so depressed and sick -and yet I had help from my family members and only one child.

How much more when this women clearly had mental problems and no help from her husband. People need to understand the entire story.

Right now my daughter is suffering with her two boys ( 18 months old and 3 1/2 years old) because they are toddlers, very active, she works full time, and her boyfriend sometimes has to work all kinds of hours just to help make financial ends meet. (P.S.- the three year old is exhibiting boarder line signs of autism and ADD). She is depressed a lot and has not had a vacation in years.I try to talk with her every night on the phone to be of comfort, to sympathize, and to give suggestions to help her. My family is having a family reunion next week in NC and she definitely does not have the monies for the airline fares for herself and the boys ( her boyfriend is working, cannot make the trip) and the hotel costs. I am paying for her entire trip and for myself and my husbands. Why? Because I want her to get relaxation and a vacation. When a person is stressed like that with young children, anything can happen- no matter if they love them. You have to recognize the signs.

This women's husband had to know and see the mental illness signs, etc. and ignored them. He is just as guilty.

i used to hear about good `ol days when people were happy dubs.

people had fun, did things together and it seems by the tone of the converstaions that there was less control over every tiny detail of the brothers lives.. i remember the 1st time someone told me as an unbaptised publisher that i would eventually be 'counceled' for not wearing a suit.

i was utterly stunned!

Disaster Preparedness Announcement

tonight would have been my long meeting but i didn't attend.

however, my wife attended and she just came back and told me about an announcement they made in the form of a "letter to all congregations..." aparently they (wts) want everyone to be prepared for disasters and measures will be taken to make sure congregations and their members are prepared.

each member will provide their number, cell numbers, and numbers of close relatives.

When my husband and I were in the Lakeview Cong in Queens, NY -our entire congregation had a list of all in the cong, their addresses, and phone numbers.

This is not unusual at all, and it does make sense in case of disasters, etc.

On the flip side, it may be the orgs way of keeping tabs on everyone, etc.

Who really knows the warped minds of leaders of a cult?

i auxilary pioneered for a year, then i regular pioneered for 2 years while serving as a ministerial servant.

then i served at bethel for 3 years.

while at bethel i worked harder then i have my hole life.

Here is what I would do:

First decide what you want to do. What type of job or career you want.

Then enter college either for on-line courses or class room courses. Because you do not have a steady income, you are eligible for financial aid-. Go on-line to FASA and apply for financial aid. Put any college school code down just for starters that you think you may want to attend.

Then FASA will let you know how much they are willing to pay in financial aid for your college classes. Apply to the school of your choice and when accepted, change the school code on your FASA application.

Accept any subsidized, unsubsidized, loans and grants the school that accepts your application will give. Usually a combination of the loans and grants are more than the tuition and you have monies left over for personal expenses-which the college is obliged to give to you.

My husband and I are both employed, in college, and have received the FASA financial aid help. There is no reason why you should not be able to get financial aid assistance. The left over monies will help while you search for work.

We are in college part-time, so the financial aid is less that for full-time students. However, part-time is good if you are seeking employment.

you get a new bible, and as you opened it, you notice that the pages all stuck together in these onion skin thin pages.

so you start separating them, with that crack snip and then separated sound.

that was fun, let me do another, i wonder if i could get through all of genesis before this guy finishes his talk.

Actually, my husband and I would write notes to each other- some nasty and some about other people and then snicker and laugh during the meetings-especially when the speaker would say something we knew was false or stupid..

It was great!!
