Thanks for the history lesson
I did enter the statement in "google"-here it is:
MK-Ultra, Agent Orange and DU. After Vietnam, Henry Kissinger said, "Militarymen are just dumb, stupid animals to be used as pawns in foreign policy. But I still stand by my post. It does not make saying this or repeating this statement right.
It's a terrible statement to make about persons in the military, when they are loosing their lives everyday.

What kind of Driver are you and your history? Do girls get a better deal?
by restrangled ini would consider myself somewhat aggressive and impatient, swearing and gesturing when infuriated in a very fast red sports car.. i do keep to the speed limit or about 5 to 10 miles above.
i have never had a ticket issued in my 32 year driving and never been in an accident.. i've been pulled over twice and let go.
once for an expired tag, and once for a brake light out.. tell your driving history!.

I am a women driver, but not agressive. I do not believe it is necessary to tailgate someone or illegally pass someone just to get to the next light. And if you are on I-95 or even on a local road, there is no reason to be on someone's bumper because of impatience.
Suggestion: leave for your destination on time or earlier and that will eliminate speeding or cutting people off the road because you are late or in a rush.
Having been employed in the insurance industry for 27+ years, I agree that the insurance companies should re-rate their policies and include high rates for women also. I noticed that in the past decade women have become even more agressive on the road, very impatient, applying make-up while driving, talking non-stop on their cell phones, etc.
It's time for 'women's liberation' to really be just that when it comes to rating auto insurance policies.

I truly enjoyed our conversation yesterday.
I am so glad you gave unconditional love to your daughter to help her through her troubled times.
Keep up the good parenting and also keep a relationship with your daughter. Our children need us to help them, through good and bad times.
I talk with my daughter everyday to make sure she, her boyfriend, and my two grandsons are doing well. If any problems are brewing or arise, even if I cannot physically be there for her, I can give her advice and help as needed.
Remember, if they feel they have no one in their corner to help them, they may feel there is no hope or way out. That leads to depression and other bad choices..

Ninja:
I do not like war. It kills and maims people. Destroys lives.
But never should we make such a blatant disrespectful statement that you have made on this site.
Persons join the military for many reasons- that does not make them stupid, etc.
Many are misled by the advertisements to join. Many hope they will gain a college degree with financial help. Many do not or did not have employment and needed the salaries to support themselves or their families. Many felt the discipline and structure of the miltary would make them better persons. Many actually believe they are or have served their country's best interests.
We have lost too many in past wars and present wars to say such ignorant statements.

Yes, I was in NY on a Quick Build doing steel framing.
In my haste I picked up a steel frame without my gloves on and sliced my hand.
Thank goodness it was not too bad........but I learned my lesson: put on your construction gloves when steel stud framing.

How A Group Can Close a Diner

this place closed at 10:00 pm, so obviously they did not like having 40 or 50 of us coming after the circus meeting.
that was what they did, week after week, showing up at precisely 9:50 pm.

We used to go to restaurants in groups after field service or after assemblies, etc.
We never acted rude and as a group always left an appropriate tip- 10-15% or even more gratuity if it was not already included in the overall price.
Anyone going to a restaurant should always leave a tip. Restaurant workers do not get paid much and they rely on tips to supplement their income.
Only in extreme cases of a rude waiter or waitress, should one not leave a tip. And then if the service was so bad, you should talk to the manager in charge.
I always reflected that if one of my family members were working at a restaurant I would want them to receive a tip.......so why wouldn't I leave a tip when I am served at a restaurant.

What about South Florida-West Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade Counties?
South Florida has the worse set of drivers in this country:
- Most cannot read a sign.
- 65% of drivers in South Florida cannot speak or read english.
- Cannot drive.
- Do not know how to use their signals.
- Do not yield.
- Cut you off either on I-95 or the regular street roads.
- Could not parallel park if they had to.
- Talk on their cell phones for 40 min driving from Broward to Miami-Dade County.
- DMV in South Florida allows persons to get their driver permits on line by taking the test on line and not at a proxy site.
Personally, I stay off of I-95 if I can help it. There are other roads to the same places. I can think of an easier and less painful way to injure or kill myself than being maimed by this useless drivers in South Florida.
I am originally from New York.......so I know what I am talking about as an outsider watching these drivers. New York and Boston has nothing on these bad drivers in South Florida.
