I Love This Time of Year!

i know that there are a lot of nfl football fans year and i'm looking forward to another year of the bears beating up on the ol' packers but even more exciting to me is watching my son play high school football.

any other proud parents here doing the friday night thing?

this past friday was especially exciting.

i'm just wondering if any df'd or da'd here have gone to the kingdom hall to attend a memorial or funeral service for a jw parent or on the other hand decided not to attened.

do you regret going / not going?

Europe - Do Their Leaders Have the Guts?

regarding iran's nuke program, the evil george bush stood on the sideline and let the europeans do it their way via diplomacy through the u.n. well, iran has basically told them to screw off and has now re-started it's nuke program and seems to have no intention to stop their development of nukes.

this u.n. delegation has now given iran the "eleventh hour warning" which they will laugh at.

soon it will be brought before the u.n. security counsel and a recommendation to impose sanctions against iran will be made and voted upon.

the recent events in asia and the images that are being broadcast indeed are tragic.

but how would you have reacted if you had read that a million people had died.

Passing JW Comments about Halloween

was it just me or did it seem each year when halloween rolled around, jws would always say "boy, seems like more and more people are celibrating halloween this year" and everyone in the cargroup would nod their heads in agreement.

this was soon followed by a discussion how this was sure another sign that satan was hard at work and that the end of the system was near.

just something i was thinking about earlier today as the kids and i skipped church and put some finishing touches on our scary halloween decorations.

my kids and i were sitting down at dinner time when my son (with a big grin on his face) said that.

ok, ok, he got me and my 10 year old daughter (mom's little spy) to promise not to tell on him.

i live out in the country so usually it's rare to see anyone walking down the road esp.

at 6:30 in the morning.

it's about wwii pows in a japanese camp forced to build the death railroad.

it's based upon real people and real events.
