  What religion do X-JWs belong to now?

  i get the feeling many x-jws are floating about aimlessly and don't join christendom, still living with the jw indoctrinated belief that they are all the work of the devil.

  does that make sense?

  are they supposed to sit around in small groups in their living rooms reading scripture like ray franz recommended in crisis of conscience?

  *** jv chap. 11 p. 152 How We Came to Be Known as Jehovah’s Witnesses ***It was not only "The Watch Tower" that pointed out from the Bible that Jehovah would have witnesses on the earth. As an example, H. A. Ironside, in the book "Lectures on Daniel the Prophet" (first published in 1911), referred to those toward whom the precious promises of Isaiah chapter 43 would be fulfilled and said: "These shall be Jehovah’s witnesses, testifying to the power and glory of the one true God, when apostate Christendom shall have been given up to the strong delusion to believe the lie of the Antichrist."

  Another misquote from the Watchtower. Ironside was referring to the Jews.

  Actually the Term "Jehovah's witnesses" had ONLY applied to the anointed ones. early conventions were advertised as "Jehovah's witnesses and their companions". It was under Knorr's leadership that the term was applied to ALL, anointed and non-anointed.

  my wife and i just watched a touching film called "the boy in the striped pajamas".. it's based on the book of the same title.

  a tale of a little eight year old boy whose father is a nazi officer.

  they are relocated to a nearby camp which he heads.

  Yes, I saw Defiance, another great inspiring movie. If you rented it, did you watch the extras, and meet the actual families and descendants?

  my wife and i just watched a touching film called "the boy in the striped pajamas".. it's based on the book of the same title.

  My wife and I just watched a touching film called "The boy in the striped pajamas".

  It's based on the book of the same title. A tale of a little eight year old boy whose father is a Nazi officer. They are relocated to a nearby camp which he heads. His wife and childrten oblivious to it all.

  His son bruno, can see the camps from his window and notives children there. He sneaks out and meets Smo, an eight year old Jewish boy and they become friends, trying to make sense of the war, and the way the Jews have been demonized.

  It's a great story with a disturbing ending.

  Highly recommended.

  Knowing (2009)

  i watched this movie today and wow, very good storyline and special effects.. i noticed there's alot of borrowed themes from the bible and slapped into the movie.. i like nicolas cage and i think he did a superb job with the movie.. anyone else seen it?.

  Didn't like the ending at all way too biblical and preachy.

  You mean the part about being taken away by space aliens? ... yeah I can see the Biblical reference

  You should have seen it on the big screen, that last scene just blew me away!
