  Back to the Bible and Roy D. Goodrich

  i was fortunately enough recently to purchased volumes 2 and 3 of roy goodrich's journal "back to the bible way" which covers 1957 - 1966. the journal was published from 1952 to 1973 and eventually reprinted in four volumes.

  i had scattered issues.

  i'm still missing volumes 1 and 4 to complete the set, as i am scanning each issue to make available, any help would be appreciated.. .

  Wonderful quality RePrints of Watchtower books and Publications

  there are a great many reasons it becomes difficult to "prove" to active jw's that the watchtower society has had an amazing series of crackpot teachings, beliefs and assertions over the years.. first off, the availability of old publications is problematic.

  the society has cleverly sucked them out of the libraries of local kingdom halls.

  older collectors are often dead or apostate.. ebay can provide steep asking-prices.. but--a few years back, i discovered the availability of reprints in quality self-published form on lulu.com and amazon.. these reprints are beautifully done and easier to read than an old, moth-eaten, mildew-stained yellowy tome from the early era!.

  Yes, Rusell and Rutherford books are now public domain, as if much of the stuff written prior to 1975, unless the Society has renewed the copyrights, but even then there are limits to how long one can continue copyrights. Eventually they run out and can not be renewed. Although I recall the Church of Scientology, gettinmg a dispensation on copyrights, and received UNLIMITED copyrights on the works of L. Ron Hubbard during the Nixon adminstration.

  i will give the information about 'that' aspect of it in a moment.

  what i think is more important first though, the 'original' book was called ("seola").

  This is of course a crock. Nowhere in Russell's writings does he ever mention the book or the author. Consider also that Russell was totally against spiritism, in fact his views on spiritism are mentioned in THE VOW.

  one marriage got off to a shaky start after the groom was arrested in lewiston for being drunk and disorderly and then arrested again in clarkston later for domestic violence against his new bride.

  nathan e. lewis, 21, of lewiston, was charged tuesday in asotin county superior court with one count of second-degree assault and interfering with a report of domestic violence following his arrest monday.

  lewis was married on sunday and allegedly got drunk and was arrested for disorderly conduct in lewiston, according to a report submitted by asotin county deputy gary snyder and a booking report from the nez perce county sheriff's office.. .

Lewis left and the report states his bride called police to report Lewis assaulted her immediately after getting
  out of jail. She reported being slapped and choked twice during an altercation. The bride stated Lewis was held down by his mother and her husband while she fled the house.

  Lewis was arrested around 2 a.m. Monday at the home on 24th Avenue, and booked into the Asotin County Jail.

  as one who has been wanting a flat screen tv really badly, i took this story very hard.. what would drive someone to such madness?.

  my first thought it was 'oldhippie' had seen something on tv he didn't like.

  somebody making fun of the geico lizzard and he decided to even the score.

  Foxnews Today- "Two Street Preachers shot to death in Florida."

  a 23 year old and 24 year old man were shot in the head after "preaching" to another man who recieved a phone call then returned to execute both men...".

  sounds like witnesses to me.....anyone else have more info?.

  After doing some research, I found out what happened. The gunman was a Jehovah's Witnesses, when these two quasi-Witnesses approached him, he called the Governing Body and said "Oh wise and faithful slave class, there are false christians doing street witnessing do you want me to tell fire to come down from heaven and annihilate them?" To which the reply was "no, just shoot them!"
