Yep, I knew of plenty of elders who lost their privileges and got them back. I knew several who were actually df'd, reinstated and got their privileges back!

Poor mailman, poor me ... I'm a mailman, I have several witnesses on my route, including the Kingdom Hall. I got one out of the witnesses a few years ago. The others is a P.O. and the other my old C.O. who has alzheimers, so he doesn't recognize me. What are the chnaces of me moving 50 miles away and bumping into him?
Most of the Witnesses here know me as the "Evil Slave" and have no idea I use to be a Witness, so they still talk to me, as if I'm a relic. Still I have been demonize by the various elders and certain ones when they learn who I am run for the hills.
I tell you ... you can learn alot about people by looking at their mail ... LOL

What did you look like as a JW?

it was really shocking!
i'm so thin, my cheeks are hollow, i'm as white as the wall behind me, i'm standing hunched over, and in my eyes you can see real misery.

The Theocratic Ministry School OVERSEER bits off more than he can chew

it was a talk in the "back" school.
everyone in the room was someone i had known most of my life.

When I resigned my position, I specifically told the body that the only thing I was going to do was field service, which was my God given right to give and be a witness. I kicked the bookstudy out of my home, I refused to be an attendant and told them I will no longer be on the TMS. I don't think they took me seriously, the very next Sunday, one of the elders tapped me on the shoulder, extended the mic to me for the Watchtower study, and in front of everyone I fold my hands and sai "I don't do that anymore!" and sat back down. A few weeks later I got an assignment on the TMS and never prepared or even looked at it. The day came and I was introduced, I stood up and askedthe elder in front of everyone, "What part of my resignation letter did you not understand?" He was embarrassed to say the least.
I was one of those individuals who was prepared for everything. I was the substitute man, I could give a talk on any subject no matter how much short notice I was given. We left the congregation and the School overseer tried to enroll me onto the school and I simply told him, "I'm taking a break" he called me spiritually weak for not giving talks, I asked him for scriptural support for his statement, he had none of course. The overseer (who was a bethelite) also called me spiritually weak because I did not comment at the meetings (I just sat there and read my Bible). I smiled and walked away. We lasted a few months and we left and never went back, that was 1992, I've seen the inside of a Kingdom only about a handful of time. ONce for a funeral, and a few times to make deliveries, as a Kingdom Hall was on a route I use to deliver too.

The phrase "The Truth"
by lepermessiah inso, i am curious..... how many of you have a hard time getting that phrase out of your vocabulary?.
i have been conscienciously trying not to use it at all, so now when i am in a conversation with a jw, its amazing how often they use that phrase.
i look back and wonder "god, did i say that that often?

by 1914BS inthis is nuts.
the feb 15 -08 wt threw out that doctrine!!.
those whose make it into the paradice are not the "generation" as spoken of at matthew 24:34. .

IF you look at the bottom of the page you'll see that it says "published in 1986". So if anything, the Society is guilty of promoting Old Light.

Honestly, Do You Judge Someone Because Of Their Color Or Nationality?

she still has it in her car seat and if you try to take her doll from her she says, "my baby!!
" typically little children are color blind.

I was never influenced by anyone, although I remember my mom telling me, "I don't care who you marry, as long as she's Puerto Rican and Catholic." LOL
MOst of my friends were non hispanic and I only dated one hispanic. In fact when I lived in Puerto Rico I dated an Italian girl. My wife is a German born Haitian who was raised in Zaire.
If I don't like someone it's not because of their skin color or religion, it's about what they do.
