  What did you REALLY think about the banned things

  what prompted this topic was when an ex-jw ( ex-elder ) friend of mine told me that once when he was doing a "car" witness with three others, near to christmas time, they lost one of them!

  after a bit of searching along the route, the others eventually found him in a house, eating a mince pie and drinking a glass of brandy!.

  my friend reminded him that he shouldn't be participating in these " worldly things.

  where else can you go to ask 6000+ people their view on things?

  at the push of a button?

  and to top it all, almost all of these people ( like me ) have been affected by the wbts in some way!.

  1. i am not necessarily stating that god exists.. 2. i am not necessarily stating that god does not exist..

  o.k., that over, just something to get other people's opinions about.. there are hundreds of different religions out there, all of which contradict each other in at least one fundamental way.

  Who Really Has The Truth(tm) Anyway?

  talk to any jw and they are convinced that not only do they posses the truth, but it is the only truth and nothing but the truth.

  talk to born-again christians and they are convinced that god hears their prayers, they've got it right and jw's are wrong for not believing in the trinity.

  then we have the mormons.

  ok, you've probably guessed i'm not talking about the women!.

  but jesus had a beard (just look at any wt publication) so did paul, john the baptiser (or baptist if you've got an earlier publication), etc.. surely all jw men should have beards!

  i've been thinking about this for a long time.

  whilst "in" the wbts other sisters and brothers are very loving and would do almost anything for you.

  they are ultra - pleasant to new potential recruits and their families.
