An Open Letter to Jehovah's Witnesses

i was, not too long ago, one of you.

i loved jehovah, and his organization.

I deeply respect your morals, I am pleased to hear, although leaving the Wtn’s where you surely showed dedication to Jehovah, you still believe in him.

I was in the Org. for 30 years, not quite as enthusiastic in hours as you, but had the same fire in my belly.

As many here found it was the U.N. that did it for me, I was then able to view them from the outside, I think once you can divorce Jehovah from the society, you can move on.

For new ones balancing on the brink, a very good letter.

I can't take this pain anymore...my life at dead end

my life has reached to a dead end...i'm stuck and there is no way out.

i was inactive for 6 years and i'm disfellowshiped for the past 3. i would never think that my life would have been in this terrible mess.. .

i wasn't planned to be disfellowshiped by my "wife" turned me in to the elders for apostasy 2 times!!!

After reading that, having like all the others felt so sad towards the situation you find yourself in.

HOW CAN THIS ORG. THINK FOR ONE MOMENT, THAT THEY ARE A CHRISTIAN ORGANISATION? THAT DISPLAYS THE QUALITIES OF CHRIST.

It’s not that we won’t give advice, what may work for us may not work for you.

Is the Governing Body the Only Channel of Communication between God and Men?

let's take my questions one at a time (since you said i had posted too many on my other thread):.

* can you please explain to me, using only the bible, why anyone should believe that today's governing body of jehovah's witnesses (or the "faithful slave class" of the jehovah's witnesses), is the "sole channel of communication" between god and men?.

* in addition, can you explain why we should believe that christ's parable of the "faithful and discreet slave" was predicting a "class" of anointed christians who would give orders to all other christians, instead of simply teaching that faithful christians will be rewarded by christ when he returns?.

The Prodigal son....the real story, was it applied to you?

i am furious about the latest drama by the wtbs, it pulls on the heart strings of parents...... and kids gone awry...from the wbts society.

not society in general.. i consider this the same as a parent investing in a college education, the kid, either blowing it or not getting a job, you worry, fret, and are thrilled to get the son or daughter back to help them make their way in life.. it has nothing to do with worshiping the wbts, infact, any kids who leave the jw's, are most likely denied their inheritance (if there is any to be had), unless they come back in full force.

those who make their way in the real world are still denied and that inheritance goes to headquarters.

The prodigal story I read, screams out forgiveness and compassion.

The interesting bit I have always used, is where the "ELDER" son is not happy about the attention this one time sinner was getting !!, he thought he should not be given this amount of attention. FORGIVNESS !!

At one time I questioned an elder on this subject, asking why it is nearly always a over a year for dis. Ones to be accepted back.

His answer was they have to prove their worth to come back by travelling that distance. Done by the "son" (he quoted a few thousand-mile trip)

But I said they would have to travel 30mls a day for a whole year to prove their repentance, surely that is not in line with Luke 15, or more importantly Jehovah.

If the U.N. involvement by the WTS is completely innocent and acceptable by all, please explain to me and my wife:

1. Why was the involvement with the UN kept secret for almost 10years.

2. Why, if innocent, did they immediately resign from the UN after the "Guardian" newspaper revealed it.

3. Why were we lied to by the leaders of the Organisation. (ones who have holy spirit?)

For once, Reniaa answer that if you can.

I respect your loyalty to what you perceive to be God's Organisation, but there are thousands of people out there, who still believe in a flat earth …..against ALL evidence to the contrary!

You don’t answer the questions that are put to you, you attack on another front for your answer.

There is a saying,

There are two sides to an argument………………unless your in one.

You are only prepared to see what you have arrived at, you have to allow for the fact that you may just be wrong in some cases.

I was in the Org. for 30years and at 71years of age, I have to realise that I was wrong on many occasions due mainly as a result of the brainwashing tactics used by the Org., they frown on good common sense questions, they don’t know how to answer them.

They also, always think they are correct in their answers, BECAUSE THEY WILL NOT PUT UP THEIR HANDS AND APOLOGISE FOR THEIR ERRORS!

What would it take for you to conclude that the WBTS is not God's channel?

i wondered if you could answer this question for me?

you seem to be fine with the fact that they are false prophets, that they have changed the bible and that they have entered into an agreement to "uphold the aims of the un".. what is the deal breaker for you?.

i suspect that there isn't one, and that is not a reasonable position.. please tell me there is something they could do that would make you question their legitamacy?.

You have highlighted the failings of other groups and organisations as if that somehow makes the WTs correct.

In the U.K., if there are 20 cars parked on a double yellow line, you could in your mind say well, it’s O.K. for me.

But you will ALL get a ticket, you are ALL wrong.

The problem I had when incarcerated in the Org., was I found it hard to separate Jehovah from the society, it is only now, can I see that according to the scriptures they have proved beyond any shadow of doubt that they are an organisation far far removed from Jehovah.

In my own opinion if allowed to express it is,

That Jehovah is not backing ANY religious organisation at all’

But that does not mean we can’t worship him through Jesus Christ.

The significance of this talk in the history of the organization of Jehovah’s Witnesses is spelled out in Chapter 4 of the book "Crisis of Conscience". The voice recording not only verifies that presentation but audibly and vividly makes evident the intensity of the power struggle within that organization at the time of the talk.
