  i've been doing this research for several months now on the internet and i can't believe what i'm finding.

  watchtower has deep roots in demonic freemasonary cult.

  did any of you have more research on it?

  the door to door work is a sham.. the central activity of the watchtower bible and tract society is not spreading their so-called "messege" about the kingdom of jehovah established in the heavens in 1914. that's a load of propaganda.. the door to door activity is feckless in producing converts.

  in fact, it is an immense failure of mammoth proportions!.

  but, it is a diversion.

  Very good thread - this is something that we have often discussed.

  We do hope that these financial advisors/experts, are "spiritually qualified" before they are given such priviledges, just as the rest of the rank and file were/are.

  Assuming that accounts are filed. These accounts may not disclose the names of the shareholders, but they should prove that the money is either in the Bank Accounts and other Investments or in Assets. Perhaps the "Investments" heading on the Balance Sheet, should be where the search starts?

  What are your favorite bible bloopers ?

  my favorite is the scripture matthew 27:9 jesus remembers the scripture correct but misatributes it to jeremiah.. it's at zechariah 11:12. all bibles have this mistake in it.

  it's funny the nwt crossnotes it to zechariah and leaves the text alone so much for a better translation.

  what yours favorite blooper ?.

  i love watching shows on the history channel, discovery channel and so on.

  they had this program on the other day, on the ten biggest threats to mankind and the planet earth.

  surprisingly, none of the items on the list were god destroying mankind or the earth, so that must be further evidence that the witnesses were wrong, go to college now and retire.

  Here in the Hereford Congregation (UK) -

  Brothers (rank & file) MUST wear a suit (i.e. jacket and trousers in same material) if they are doing any items on the platform or opening/closing in prayer.

  BUT

  Elders appear to be allowed to wear non-suits (i.e. NOT same material) for instance - dark blazer jacket and grey trousers/slacks, even if they are up on the platform or opening/closing in prayer.

  Sounds petty, but this actually happened to me more than once !

  my friend called and told me there were 3 announcements last night at the kh saying x, x, & x are no longer jw's.

  they all da'd themselves.

  all 3 sent letters out to a select group of friends and family before they gave their letters to the elders.

  Great stuff. This is what my wife and I did a few years back. We sent about 14 letters to what we thought we friends at that time, regarding the UN, failed prophecies etc. this basically was our resignation letter, a few days later we sent the same copy to the body of elders. Thus giving the "Bros & Sisters" the opportunity to hear the truth from us before it got distorted.

  Even though we didn't get a reply form any of the "Bros & Sisters", it at least allowed them to read our version before we were put into the category of apostates.

  ps we found that it was better to send the letter to individual elders, as in "possibly" some congregations, it could get no further than the PO. (recorded delivery of course)

  What do I do with all this WT literature?

  we have tons of bound volumes, bound kms and many books.

  i only plan on keeping a few of the older books with the really insane, humiliating crap, like sewing machines being a sign of the last days.

  what should i do with the rest?

  Here in the UK, we get charged another £1 plus the cost of the underpaid postage, if parcels or letters are delivered without a stamp !!!

  This could be even more expensive and annoying for the recipient if things are sent individually.

  What is the best way to rebutt JW's argument that Jesus is not "almighty"?

  i am in a debate with korean jw's over the divinity of jesus.

  i showed them tons of scripture that imply that jesus is divine.

  they reluctantly accepted those and argue that jesus may be a "mighty" god, not "almighty" god and that jehovah alone is almighty.

  You may have already quoted these scriptures but I would use Philippians 2v6…who, although he was existing in Gods form gave no consideration to a seizure namely that he should be equal to God.

  Phil. 2v9 ….For this very reason God exalted him to a superior position…………..

  Would he have given himself a higher position if he was already in that position.

  1Cor 15v 28

  Mark 13v 32 etc.

  Absolutely brilliant stuff, took quite a bit of courage to do the whole thing the way you did.

  Whatever happened to Isaiah 1v18.. "Come now you people and let us set matters straight between us says Jehovah" and many others. I found they don’t want to debate because if you produce too many scriptures that they are not familiar with they lose the upper hand, It’s not a debate it’s their statement of what they believe and quite honestly that leaves much to be desired.
