Cedars really appreciates the sentiment. He is enjoying his break at the moment, but he loves the forum and will be back posting soon, I have no doubt about it. He's still answering PMs, so he is not that far!

My birthday
by Chariklo intoday i am celebrating my first birthday after dutifully refusing to observe birthdays, thanks to the jehovah's witnesses.
not for as many years compared with most of you, but enough, and worst of all was that i dutifully refused even to celebrate my grandchildren's birthdays.
that hurt me far more than them.

MrsCedars
Happy birthday to you

Cedars would like to make it clear that Atlantis was the one that passed the letter to him through Barbara, so Atlantis is the one that should get the credit for it along with the elder who leaked the letter.

My condolences to you Wes and Stacey, and to Eric’s family and friends. I didn't know him, nevertheless my heart breaks at the thought of his death, especially now after you showing us the man that you knew. My thoughts are with you, and Eric.

Thinking People vs.Non-Thinking People
by minimus inmost jws do not think.
they feel.
they are told a certain thing and they simply accept it or just don't care all that much what the real facts are.
-
MrsCedars
I find that thinking provokes feelings. So I wouldn’t say that most jws don’t think but only feel. Since I started thinking I also started to feel more, and those feelings cause action. I agree with rip van winkle that witnesses are
told what to feel and how to feel, their compliance of shunning and accepting every untruth is from turning OFF their feelings.

Mrs Cedars and I try an interesting diet...
by cedars ini guess no matter what country you live in, the costs of food and everything are going up.
it's certainly no different where mrs cedars and i live, and we're noticing a huge increase on our monthly spending for basic commodities - especially food and drink.. normally when we go shopping i tend to stock up on drinks - mostly beer, wine, and fizzy drinks like coke, fanta or sprite.
i tend to be quite picky with my fizzy drinks, and i can't really tolerate cheap "store brand" imitations.

MrsCedars
Thank you Zid! You are a great lady and a S he-Devil to boot!

My favourite drink is good old still water anyway, coffee and unsweatened herbal teas are my comfort drinks, which are allowed in this diet. Apart from missing a glass of wine with my dinner I must say that this diet is great.

Great idea mamochan13. I love courgettes any way, even raw in salad. I will definitely try this one!
JWdaughter , sounds like you are living in a very interesting part of the world. Some of the food combinations are very unusual. I do love aubergine dip. I agree with you it should be more popular. Can you obtain a recipe for authentic Egyptian flatbread?
