i have been hearing and reading on websites about some "new light" jws are saying concerning the faithful and discreet slave class.
it sounds like the same information they have been saying for years.
i was always taught the faithful and discreet slave class is the annoited governing body members dispensing food at the proper time for the non annoited jws.
To my mind, the FDS change wasn't the big news although it's what most people focus on.
For me the big news was that the FDS were NOT examined in 1919 and appointed over all of Christ's belongings. According to New Light, this is still future.
There are pretty significant and unexplainable repercussions of this, which is why I think we are now up to May magazines with study articles for July / August on their website, and still no explanation for the poor domestics.

If you want it in a simple statement:
(Last) old light - The FDS used to be all of the 144,000 anointed through history since 33CE.
You might recall phrases such as "the FDS and it's Governing Body".
New light - The FDS are those who work at HQ dispensing 'food'.
Put another way, the FDS is now synonymous with the GB. The rest of the anointed do not count at all.

) that talked about fading instead of being df'd or da'd.
i myself had planned to fade, but was df'd instead.
FOI also demands that old records are destroyed when there is no longer a valid reason to keep them.
If the WTBTS or local cong have records of you and you have DA'd, you can request they destroy those records they have of you since they no longer have good reason to keep them, and the information may also be out of date.
Basically they need your permission to keep those records.

In the UK, like Cantleave mentioned, there is Freedom of Information (FOI).
The publishers are asked every year to sign a sheet saying they comply with having information about them stored.
Legally you can apply to see this information (max admin cost of £10).
Knowing the way the congregations work, you could likely end up with some but not all of the information they have.
If I was going down this route I would have the letter sent from a solicitor, to add gravitas to the fact they should not all of a sudden decide to destroy or withold any information.

i guess the concept of trinity is not illogical at all... .
trinity = three person as triune god (3 person that is the same/equal in one office).
gb = 8 persons that form an organisation that is bigger than christ & god, worshipped by the jws.

From the WTBTS point of view it's a really good move.
The presses hardly needed to be changed at all - just don't apply glue between the two copies, then think of the savings!
Awake! has 43.5 million copies per month
Public WT has 45 million copies per month
So they are now printing 98.5 million magazines per month, all of which are half sized.
98.5 million x 16 pages = 1.5 Billion pages!
By nesting these two magazines they are saving printing 1.5 Billion pages per month!!!!
And I bet no-one has changed their donations to Worldwide Work to reflect this.
