the meetings are getting more boring to me.
some of the elders during their parts just talk and talk and talk about uninteresting things.

Elders getting so old that every item is a struggle for them, and few to pick up the slack.
We've not had an elder appointed in our cong for 16 or 17 years.
None of the younger brothers are encouraged or trained, just told to Reach Out. It's not going to work.

this may come as a shock to some people, but the current forum structure was kind of thrown together without much real thought and then evolved a bit over time.
there are a few things that particularly grate on me and areas where i don't think the subjects work particularly well.
'friends' is a bit vague and becomes a dumping ground, news & world events vs politics & current affairs is hard to decide sometimes, child abuse is a scandal but isn't contained withing 'scandals & coverups' etc.... with a new forum platform imminent, it's a good time to solicit ideas to improve things.
I've seen something on other forums that I'd love to see on here.
On the home page there's a bit at the bottom saying "Members logged in now are:", then lists who's logged in, and then it has "Guests viewing" and gives a number of current non-members who are online viewing the forums.
It would be great to se this.

a lot of the rank and file at the meetings seem to think some of the changes make more sense but what is the most damning of the changes that may help to wake to some up.

We had the Junk Mail letter too. It was quite forcefully worded that the branches have angry householders phoning, demanding to know why they are getting tracts posted when the sign says No Junk Mail.
The other problem is the branches get calls from the public saying they have told JW's not to call but they keep on.
Seems we have some super zealous JW's who know better than to respect peoples reasonable requests.
What do you expect when you tell sub-intelligent people to DO MORE! DO MORE! DO MORE!

i honestly do not believe so, yet i feel as if you cannot call them on their bs if you do.
The information commissioner would be the person to contact to get to the root of the problem and escalate it to bethel.

there are many silly doctines and viewpoints.. one of the strangest ones is the blood doctrine.. why anyone could logically accept this belief is beyond reason..
When I was small my mother wouldn't let me use those stick-on/wash-off tattoos.

A great money spinner for the Soc would be if they released their own 'Thablet' (Theocratic Tablet).
Millions of dubs would buy them, they could be locked to jw.org, and there would be no need to print as much.
A monthly subscription plus a newly released Thablet every two years would generate Million$.
WatchTower Bible and Tablet Society anyone?
