  Reverse-Witnessing leaves me mentally and emotionally drained...

  hi dear friends!.

  i am doing some stealth reverse-witnessing, and i have succeeded in at least two people seeing ttatt, one being my friend and the other being my dad (although my dad has a longer route to take to exit the wts, and i have to slowly chip away at the illusion).... the illusion of jw's is very strong.

  they give an illusion of being moral and decent people, and that may be true just because the majority of the people they attract are just being deceived, or i really like to believe that and hope for the best.. what i hate and leaves me emotionally drained are jw apologists.

  Sun newspaper writes about Witness paedophile scandal

  it isn't much, only a small piece on page 23 of sunday's sun newspaper .

  for our colonial cousins the sun is a highbrow , well respected national daily newspaper , well national daily anyway .

  on sunday it printed a small article about what it describes as a jehovah's witness paedophile whose sex crimes had been hushed up by his church .

  Between them the Sun, Daily Mail and Mirror have enormous readership across the UK.

  All of these national papers have run the Gordon Leighton story.

  I wonder what those three elders feel like now.

  Regrets for knowing the TATT? Strange feeling overcoming...

  today is a strange day.. i have been out of the borg for a while now.

  some years have passed and i thoroughly enjoy the freedom, not having to bend my mind and rape my soul to force myself to do and say things that i don't feel or believe.

  i started my own business, got a wonderful girlfriend and made some friends (that are not monsters like the wt$ likes to portray others).. my parents, siblings, brothers-in-law, cousins, aunts, uncles, ex-wife, "friends" and my daughter, have cut their contact to me.

  Strength and peace to you BluePill2.

  If I remember correctly, you worked your way quite high in the org - certainly having responsibilities many would never get.
  You probably saw more than most as you awoke to TTATT, so I can well understand the hatred you now have.

  I have family and close friends still in and occassionally they get in touch to ask why something doesn't make sense. Many are starting to doubt, question and see things they can't reconcile.

  Be there for when this also happens to your family, they will need someone to help them deal with it when it happens - who better than you.

  There are good days and bad days, so you know that better days will come once you've dealt with the bad.

  in paragraph 10 it is stated: "in recent decades, that slave has been closely identified with the governing body of jehovah's witnesses.".

  can anyone tell me who in recent decades has closely identified that slave with the gb?

  I think those WT articles will be studied in a strict Question/Answer From The Paragraph fashion. Adding any additional thoughts will be quickly supressed.

  It really will be the case that few will know what they now believe.

  Very sad for someone who would die for what they (don't know what they) believe.

  God's good for "$66 dollars"

  last week's watchtower study related an experience of a sister who prayed that god would help her with her rent.

  she needed $66 dollars.

  she went to her waitressing job on an off night and would you believe?

  Our hall lapped it up. No way to determine the actual facts of what happened but it was very well received as a faith strengthening example.

  The only way it could have been improved is if the sister put that $66 in the Worldwide Work contribution box, and went home to find an anonymous envelope with twice as much in, posted through her door.
