  Jehovah's Witnesses bought more real estate in the UK for £5 Million

  the former home of an insurance company will now be used to store bibles by a christian sect.. jehovah's witnesses have bought 1 elstree way in borehamwood, formerly known as pinnacle place, from cardif pinnacle for 4,928,000.. the building will be used by the international bible students association, a corporation of the jehovah's witnesses which distributes bibles and other religious literature.. the non-profit organisation currently operates out of properties throughout mill hill and borehamwood, with headquarters in the ridgeway in mill hill.. it employs 700 people in printing, storing and distributing religious literature throughout britain, europe and africa.. a spokesman for the jehovahs witnesses said the association had outgrown its existing premises and had bought the large building to consolidate its operations.. it will use the new acquisition to store magazines, pamphlets and bibles as well as making full use of the office space.. however it will continue to maintain its headquarters in mill hill, where the literature is printed.. the sale went through in december and the international bible students association is currently preparing the building so it can move in.. jehovahs witnesses are best known for their door-to-door evangelical work, offering bible literature and recruiting and converting people to their beliefs.. the spokesman for the movement said: we are all about bible education and we print biblical literature to distribute around the world.. the people of borehamwood will probably not notice anything different as we are making no changes to the actual building, which is why we did not need planning permission..

  within the last few years i understand watchtower has issued a concession (no apology) of minor proportion.

  they don't admit to the avalanche of some 8 sequential positions (yes, no, yes, no, ...) of, "will the sodomites receive a resurrection?".

  i think they admit to about three of them.

  they use poor reasoning, they wiggle around the question and ignore the fact the watchtower was affiliated with the united nations.

  this website fails to ignore the facts that we were not allowed to join the ymca even though we did not follow the charter rules, the watchtower agreed to follow the un charter and did so from 1992 to 2001 when the scandal was exposed.. .

  have any of you seen works to debunk their slanted arguments and dishonest play of words?.

  Some JW apologists are so aggressive, so angry.

  It's a real vitriolic hatred for any who dare question, let alone expose, the leadership. Not Christlike in any sense of the word.

  This must be a recognised mental condition that when you are undermined by fact, logic and reason, the only recourse you have is to scream at everyone that they are still wrong and call them vile names.

  I find it quite bizarre but not uncommon. They are being fed sour milk from a withered teat but choose to stay blind to it, telling themselves it's the choicest meal.

  Para 5 mocks those who got excited and said that Jehovah's day was imminent, then para's 9, 13 and 17 stress how Jehovah's day is imminent!!

  The irony is totally missed by all in the hall.

  And lots of 'do more' this week. Oh, and a dollop of 'obey'.

  Come to think of it, the same old same old.

  Our BOE was told every time in the elders meeting with the CO that there had to be better shepherding.

  Prior to any CO visit the COBE would run round everyone asking if they had "encouraged or spoken to anyone recently".
  This was then presented to the CO as proof the BOE were doing as they were told.

  Everyone here has it right - the elders don't want to do it unless they're forced. You force them by keeping records. No records = less shepherding.
  The elders are already totally strung out and adding this much work to them will push many over the edge.

  with the following information i'm about to desconspire myself a little bit, but i don't really care since i will simply deny it if any of my elders are lurking here.

  anyway the situation is the following.

  Next time he starts on you, humiliate him in front of the others.

  Ask him why he thinks it's acceptable to be rude to people, then wait for an answer. Don't let him dodge the question.

  Ask him why he's trying to force his own opinions on you. If he says they are not his opinions then ask where it says in the Bible you need to underline stuff.

  Ask him why it's ok for him to ignore the GB's instructions on taking one hour for the WT?
  Drop a bombshell on him like "Are you more righteous than the GB?" or "Are you trying to run ahead of Jehovah's organisation, because that can stumble some?"

  Rip him a new one using some scriptures.

  "We understand that in mentioning "this generation," Jesus was referring to two groups of anointed Christians. The first group was on hand in 1914, and they readily discerned the sign of Christ’s presence in that year. Those who made up this group were not merely alive in 1914, but they were spirit-anointed as sons of God in or before that year. —Rom. 8:14-17."

  So an anointed one "alive in 1914" could be either at the end of their life (born 1830's) or near the beginning of their life (born 1890 and still anointed by 1914).

  Thus the first group can extend during the lives of any of these ones, from the 1830's to those born later and dieing in the 1970's.
  Certainly, a long lived first group of the overlapping generation, approaching 140-150 years, not even counting the 'second group'!

  The starting year for the overlapping generations can be as early as 1839 if you suppose one born at that time was anointed and lived 80 years to see 1919.

  These ones meet the latest definition of the first group of overlappers.
