Your final WTF? Moment!

it was a long time coming for me.....when i read about the extened generations, after being raised on1914 being the be all end all, and millions would never die....that was the end.

i was part of the 1975 fiasco, the 6 month only truth book studies, suffered through a disifellowshipping and their version of a rewind.

i finally am free and hope others can eventually look in instead of inside looking out!

A few stepping stones:

1. As a teenager I was told (1980's?) that Babylon the Great had fallen. I looked out of the window and saw it actually hadn't.

2. Knowing that babies naturally eat white blood cells in breast milk, but could not take a white cell transfusion because the WT says to abstain.

3. De Cruce Libris Tres (Justus Lipsius) held up as a definitive support that Jesus died on a stake. Found it online and realised this was the opposite of what that book said. Went on to realise that '...' in any WT quotation actually means "we've misrepresented the quote right here".

4. Adding square brackets '[ ]' in the Bible to denote where something has been added that does not appear in the text, then seeing the latest version of the Bible keep the spurious additions but remove the square brackets, so you are deceived.

These days the WTF moments come thick and fast. The more you know the more you can see.

How Did "Shepherding Calls" Go For You?

did you loath them?

did you feel it was a "privilege" to have the elders care deeply about your spiritual well being?

if you were an elder or ministerial servant, did you enjoy going to the homes of the sheep?.

Shepherding calls are one of the highlights of being an elder / MS.

You are warmly welcomed, you have a nice social visit with some encouraging point.
Word then gets around that someone has been upbuilt, and there's a good vibe.

Not to confuse shepherding visits with anything else like investigations, nosiness, trying to reactivate etc.

Resurrection talk at convention

i didn't go to the convention but have family who did, all are going on about the resurrection talk, how there wasn't a dry eye in the arena.

and apparently a video was shown too on it.

we lost a family member some years back and they are on fb talking about the resurrection and new world coming soon.

Ad Gefrin - The Ancient Capital of Northumbria

last sunday my wife and i went walking in the cheviot hills in the beautiful northumberland national park not far from our home.

we have walked a lot of the cheviots in recent months and intend to get around a lot more over the summer.. this week we decided to go up a few of the smaller hills in the north of the park so we headed for a peak known as yeavering bell.

it was used as a hill fort since the iron age.

How Will The New York Nonprofit Revitalization Act Effect The Watchtower Corporation Book Keeping Transparency?

so many questionn perhaps will be answer by this investigation/independent audit and perhaps some follow up untanglement of funds in the proliferation of different corporations that are under the gbs control.. i think 2014 is going to be a very interesting year for the wt corporation.

o and how do do feel about the whistleblower policy implimentation for all those that bring in 1,000,000 dollars or more annually.

can you imagine the wt corporation problems with that little gem, they can't disfelloship him or dismiss a whistleblower my my my.. .
