the best thing to come from the regenal convention this summer, is to see women used as attendants at the end of the program.

they were used in distributing the new publications to convention delegates..

Don't get too excited, they're not actually classified as Attendants.

They don't get the same badge and I think they have to register as a +1 to a brother.

the october watchtower 2014 is now up on jw org.

regarding the new covenant they write.

the governing body sets the scene in the first article by stating how they are like jesus and as humans they are sinless in god's eyes.. then on page 24 they state this.

as i see it, and i am absolutely open to contradiction, the wts appears to be giving another new meaning to this generation.

this time the term means all of his anointed followers, including his immediate disciples.

The first generation actually started to be born around 1840, maybe even 1830. They finished being born around 1900.

Oubliette, what if someone was born in 1950 then anointed in 1970?

They would overlap with Freddy Franz, and would continue to live until approx 2030.

This means that the 'generation' lasts from your 1852 until 2030 - a 'generation' that spans 180 years.

The groups are:

1. Those anointed and died before 1914 such as the apostles.

2. Those anointed before 1914 but who died after it, like Freddy Franz

3. Those who were anointed after 1914 but overlapped with the previous group, like Sanderson

4. Those who were anointed after 1914 but not in time to overlap with group 2, eg someone who gets anointed today.

"This Generation" includes group 2 and 3 only.

as we near the end of 6,000 years of human history in the mid-1970s there is the thrilling hope of a grand relief.. this looks like a more conclusive statement about 1975 than what the wt has written in other places.. can it mean anything other than armageddon is coming in 1975 - the "end of 6000 years of human history"?.

Walked into the hall 2 months ago and here are all the old books, phamplets, bibles, etc. piled on a table for the picking.. the library in the hall was getting rid of older material - so there will not be any reference materials to wrong thinking within the hall.

truthlover123 it sounds like your kingdom hall library is going to be replaced with a bookshelf.

i talked to my brother today who is still a practicing jw (i've managed to fade) .

we were talking and suddenly he asked me if i thought satan could read my mind.

and he said "yeah i though the answer was yes and then i found out that satan cant read my mind".
