I understand that some JC's are asking the victim to leave their bag and phone outside the room, in addition to asking outright "are you recording this?"

i know there are recordings out there of jcs and more to come.
i imagine the average drone wouldn't dream of recording a jc but those who are aware of the tatt might record jcs if they bother to attend.. i'm wondering (yes, another idle speculation post...sorreeeeeee), with the advent of more being recorded if the wbt$ will change their tack on how jcs are conducted?
leave it the same?.

DOC Looking to find out where to sign up for the job, Blondie?
There's a new position - Ball Servant.
I hear they actually did this in a Scottish KHall whenever a kilted man entered.
Little mirror on a stick to make sure he wasn't commando.
I think it was cofty who posted this a while back, but can't be certain.

i have words that irritate me and not always without reason.. my latest hate is the word: 'solutions' as used by so many businesses in their title these days.
y'know, 'something innane business solutions' and such balderdash.. i loathe that word now.
arrrrggghhhhhh!
When the WT study contains a word that no one has ever come across before it's always a laugh.
We had "impunge" (rhymes with 'sponge') mentioned in comments a number of times a few weeks ago. The word was 'impugn'.
Another favourite that crops up is "hyperbowl" instead of hyperbole.
These are even better when they come from the School Overseer.
They must have missed those lessons in their Awake! education course.
The tragedy is, this happens in every single congregation and they are never educated to correct themselves.
It's embarrassing.

ok so i know its not really anything to do with jwness but we are struggling with baby names and really can't think of one we both like.

Yes, British, so I know the connotations!
We have a couple of Fanny's in my congregation. Their wives are pleasant however.

I've heard of Tamiko and Tamika.
I also like the flower names, Daisy is so cute!
When you think of one, also think how it will be shortened.
It may seem good to call your girl Frances, but the short version is Fanny.
Or Dorothy becomes Dot.
Also think about your surname and how they fit together.
Noone wants to go through life as Nora Bone, Hazel Nutt, Daisy Patch, Holly Bush, Barb Dwyer, Victoria Plum or Theresa Green for example.

for years we have debated on this board about whether or not the governing body are truly wicked or just clueless.
these recent court cases have hammered home their true nature.
they are willfully evil, deliberately and recklessly endangering the lives of tiny innocent children.
Knowing that these cases are being brought against them, recently the WT brazenly printed:
*** w12 5/1 p. 16 What Is the Good News About Religion? ***
1. Is all religion good?
Many religious groups include sincere people who want to please God. He sees those people and cares about them. Sadly, though, some people have used religion for evil purposes. In the past, religious leaders have even tortured their opponents. (2 Corinthians 4:3, 4; 11:13-15) Today, according to news reports, some religious leaders have encouraged terrorism or supported war, or they have been involved in child abuse.—Read Matthew 24:3-5, 11, 12.
That is just plain hypocrisy when it's happening within your own walls.

syneidos posted some interesting information on reddit regarding jw.org's latest project for the upcomming 2015 memorial campaign.. for next year's 2015 memorial campaign, jw.org is producing an invitational video featuring jesus.
the video is still being filmed at the moment and i was told it was super "confidential.
" my source already saw several scenes from it and said, "it looks and feels like a cinematic movie.
I don't know how a video invitation would work?
Currently there's a 'special effort' to spend extra time in the ministry, and 1,000's of leaflets are ordered.
To start with, the leaflets are used like at any other time, ie. knock, discuss, invite, but the week before the memorial the elders notice we still have 5,000 leaflets in the cupboard so it's a crazy post-fest for the remaining few days.
Villages are swept through in a day, housing estates gobbled up by maniacal leafleteers.
Stopping to show a 3 minute video to everyone would kill the number of leaflets posted (which, don't forget, are now included on your monthly report), and would leave the congregations with boxes of memorial invites.
Maybe the news is that the Memorial will be prerecorded by a GB member and broadcast into each hall.

i can't imagine for one second that the wbt$ supply the apathy trollies they'll make the r&f pay for them.
or does the wbt$ supply the apathy trolley and charge over the odds for them?.
so...........do jws construct them?.
Eh up Punky!
I wonder what the next thing will be that they come up with to get more money coming in.
Recently we have had
- Specific requests for the congregation to give to our nearest assembly hall, per publisher (resolution carried)
- The "what can you donate monthly" survey
- A resolution (carried) to pay monthly to the branch, in place of the SKHF fund
- A resolution (carried) to pay so much per month to replace the KHAA arrangement
I know there are more - it seems whenever there's a local need, the need is always for more money, and it's never local.
Keep rocking!

I think there's another income stream in that the WT also send new trolley posters for each new set of magazines.
These advertise the current magazines, and are sent to every congregation each month.
I can't imagine for a moment that these are free.
