this is going around the kingdom halls now, i thought it was a hoax but are not all the end time dates produced by the organization some hoax or con?

the reason why the end did not come in 1975 was the watchtower society had not put eve's creation in their equation.

i was told when we had a "meet and greet" if "we knew the date of eve's creation we would know the year jehovah was going to destroy the earth.. it's been 40 years since 1975, can you believe it's been 40 years since "stay alive till 1975!"?

yes- everyone has faults and makes mistakes; an organization even more so.. yet, you ignore all the fingers pointing at you.. many here have no faith.

many here go to churches who lie about everything biblical; look at x-mas!.

but at least we know god and christ and try to live up to their name!.

I'm a practising, appointed JW, before you throw the atheist label at me. You might have seen me give a talk at your local assembly, or I may have baptised you.

There are more holes in JW theology than in a Marks and Spencers string vest and pants set. This is why the GB stumble from one incredulous position to another. They either have the truth or they do not, so which is it? If they have the truth then why do they keep changing it?

If it's the truth now then there will be no more changes, right? Well let me tell you that that's not going to happen anytime soon. That stuff you're preaching today is wrong - it will change.

Want an example of what the Catholic Church beat JWs at, then read Rom 13:1 about the 'superior authorities'. The Catholics had this correct forever. How do you explain that the JW's had it correct before the F&DS were chosen, then the F&DS changed it to something wrong for 40 years?

Let me break it to you gently: JW's are no more correct than the other Christian religions except in their own minds, but do far less true Christian charity work. To deny these things is to deny reality, but that's your choice.

The number of baptised has remained pretty stable for many years - around the 260,000 - 280,000 per year mark.

If the peak publisher and hours in ministry figures are increasing by a higher %ge than the baptised are being added, that means the publishers are each increasing their time and effort.

Finally, the constant message ("DO MORE!!") is taking effect.

Well there was that information about mediums that Jesus gave to the Judge one year after choosing the F&DS:

There is an edit button underneath the post, but when I've edited my recent posts it took about 5 minutes and 10 attempts to Save the edit.

I don't know if that's the site or my tablet.

DOC is correct, the FDS now appeared in 1919 after CT Russell had died.

The FDS is now the same as the GB, so only 8 FDS today, and the whole 'class' thing has been dropped - they are the FDS, and not the FDS Class.

Linked to this new teaching is the revised start and end dates for This Generation. Simply put, TG starts around the time of the American civil war (1860's) and stretches into our future.

This is exactly what Jesus meant when he said "This generation will by no means pass away". Well, until it's changed again of course.

Thanks for those references fastjehu, and the other ones you found JW GoneBad.

Seems the doublespeak applies to this as well then. Counsel not to get the latest gadgets, but then pressure to have them to keep up with the KM presentations and jw tv. Quite frankly, if you don't have a tablet at the KHall these days, you're the underclass.

My 70 year old mother in law can't use her tablet but told me she's going to use it in the ministry this week. When she fails miserably, that will be another reason for her to feel like a failure and become more depressed.
I also hope she doesn't get mugged for it.

The internet has gone from being a frightening tool of Satan, to the GB's secret weapon. Maybe they are the same thing.
