  i made a post of this, but feel it warrants a thread.

  in central london ( paddington) the " property management company" we refer to as jehovers witnesses, bought a church building, which is now a kingdom hall, but with the outside appearance of a church.. i got an explanation from bethel " it's just a building".

  well let's give the organisation credit for its business sence.

  Just got this reply from the U.K enquiry into Child Abuse

  i received an e-mail today, which says, in part :.

  " thank you for your email dated 19 august to the independent inquiry into child sexual abuse.

  regarding your concerns about the jehovahs witness religion and your offer to provide further.

  i have been searching the better part of this morning to find the thread in which somebody commented on 1006 known pedophiles which equals 3 elders at each jc and the totals on how many elders did not report to police (3000?

  ) and also how many known victims in australia.

  i think they also broke it down to how many victims that would average each week/month for the last 60 + years.

  Royal Commission of institutions into child sexual Abuse in Australia.

  by their own admission the jehovah`s witnesses have acknowledged to the royal commission that 1006 child sex abuse cases against members of their religion have been handled in house.. 1006 cases over 65 years , equals to more than one , every month , every month , every year , for the next 65 years.. a judicial committee consists of 3 elders ,so 3 elders handled 1006 sexual abuse cases over 65 years equals 3018 elders who know about this abuse and never contacted the authorities .either police or ,child protection services .. what sort of morals or ethics do these so called christians have ?.

  "the governing body has asked me to bring to your attention (whatever)".

  aren't you the governing body?

  The elders do the same, its a way of dodging responsibility.

  Instead of saying "me and Bro x have decided you can't have a beard", its " the BoE have decided..."

  It's a form of cowardice, hiding behind a faux label.

  Local Congregation Takes Away My Dad's Phone Hook-Up (HE'S 85 YRS. OLD)

  this happened about 6 months ago, didn't really have an opportunity to post about it (been busy), but they still haven't given back his password for the phone hook-up.

  they say that this is direction from the "branch office".

  i think it's complete bs, the real reason why they are doing this is to punish me & my family because i am basically a ghost when it comes to meetings & any type of activity.

  Write to bethel.

  Tell them your father contributes to the running costs, but the elders have stopped him listening in.
  Say that you are writing to bethel because the elders are telling you they are following branch directions.

  Explain that you have spoken to lots of witnesses at your hall and in your circuit about this and they are all disgusted at the unloving way the elders are abusing their power.
  Then tell them that as a consequence your father no longer contributes and can no longer attend.

  End by saying that you are only letting them know what's going on, and do not wish to hear back from them.
