"Donation Station" seems more fitting.

it is clear that the leaders of the jehovahs witness religion are rebranding.
so as a strategy they could have both the jw.org signs and kingdom hall signs running at the same time and then in a few years instruct congregations to remove the kingdom hall signs.
this happens all the time with commercial products when there are mergers and company takeovers.. .
"Donation Station" seems more fitting.

joe, sorry, you'll have to eat some humble pie.. .
thank you so much for the poster on extj.com who sent these pics!!
can't have been better!!.
National flags are consistently referred to as idols in WT literature. Putting a flag in a KHall is akin to putting a statue of Buddha in there. They are both viewed as religious icons.
"Flee from idolatry" and "Guard yourselves from idols" are the usual quoted verses.
The WT praise early Christians for not sprinkling incense on an altar for Caesar, but would install the Roman colours in the temple.

what the hell is going on here?
i drove past the assembly hall today and noticed the square blue jw.org signs on the building.
coupled with the steel gate that keeps worldlings out, it really looks quite cultish.. so is that the new name for the kingdom halls or something?
It's funny that all this 'simplifying' keeps pushing the costs up week after week.

my wife (a blonde) told this one to our son and i yesterday, knowing we'd find it really funny.. .
a blonde woman was speeding down the road in her little red sports car and was pulled over by a woman police officer who was also a blonde.
the blonde cop asked to see the blonde driver's license.
A blonde goes into an electrical store and points out to the shop assistant which TV she wishes to buy.
"I'm sorry, but we don't sell to blondes."
She goes home, colours her hair red, then goes back to the shop to buy her TV.
"I'm sorry, but we don't sell to blondes."
Amazed, she goes home, colours her hair brown, then goes back to the shop to buy her TV.
"I'm sorry, but we don't sell to blondes."
She says "I've come here as a red head and a brunette. How did you know I was blonde?"
"That's not a TV it's a microwave."
at a recent circuit assembly "business meeting" for elders, a new program was announced: "funds on deposit".. here's how it works:.
each circuit determines a "floor" and a "ceiling" for an amount to hold in their circuit checking account.
when the "ceiling" amount is exceeded, the amount above the threshold is wired to the wts and held by them.. if the circuit checking account drops below the "floor" amount, the circuit can send a request to the wts to request that some of their "funds on deposit" be returned to them so that their checking account resumes a "safe" level.. as explained by the elder explaining the program,, "in other words, the branch is acting exactly like a bank - the circuit will make deposits and withdrawals as needed.
UK congregations have operated this Funds On Deposit Arrangement for a few years now.
The letter instructed them to have 3 months operating cash in the bank, and the rest sent to bethel in this fund.
When the khall accounts are read each month, this figure is included.
How long until a letter asking for these funds to be donated instead?

i attended the school late last year, and it was an emotional and mental rollercoaster for me.
i was already divided in my heart to say the least.
one of the instructors stayed in my home for the week, and my family genuinely enjoyed his company.
"Old quotes are not relevant."
Define "old".
Teachings are changing so rapidly that even things from 1 or 2 years ago are now out of date, redundant, or 'false'.
When a religion is based on such shifting sands, it has no foundation. Noone knows what to believe anymore. The religion has contradicted itself into incredulity - it no longer can claim any authority since it changes monthly.
What fool would build on sand?

i was speaking with a jw yesterday.
i'd previously mentioned the removal of the brackets around 'other' in colossians 1 making the mistranslation complete.
during our chat he said that the previous edition of the nwt was the more correct one, that the revised version was simply more readable and that it shouldn't be considered the best translation.
I recently gave a Bible reading, and I used the black bible.
Afterwards I was asked why I chose to use that version. I said it is a more accurate version than the new grey one.
I was shown the TMS instructions stating that the grey version should only be used, so use that in future.

1 king david was now very old, and no matter how many blankets covered him, he could not keep warm.2 so his advisers told him, let us find a young virgin to wait on you and look after you, my lord.
she will lie in your arms and keep you warm.
3 so they searched throughout the land of israel for a beautiful girl, and they found abishag from shunem and brought her to the king.4 the girl was very beautiful, and she looked after the king and took care of him.
The Song of Solomon was written about Abishag.

NO - Face the Facts (1938) pp.46,50
"Would it be Scripturally proper for them to now marry and to begin to rear children? No, is the answer, which is supported by the Scripture. Those Jonadabs who now contemplate marriage, it would seem, would do better if they wait a few years, until the fiery storm of Armageddon is gone"
NO - Children (1941) p. 312-313
"Should men and women, both of whom are Jonadabs or "other sheep" of the Lord now marry before Armageddon and bring forth children? They may choose to do so but the admonition or advice of the scriptures appears to be against it. The three sons of Noah and their wives were in the ark and were saved from the flood. They began to have children two years after the flood. That would appear to indicate it would be proper that those who will form the "great multitude" should wait until after Armageddon to bring children into the world."
YES - w50 10/15 p. 383 "Be Fruitful, Multiply, Fill the Earth"
Since the carrying out of the command to "be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth" waits until after Armageddon, does that mean that those who now marry and rear children are violating God’s laws? No, for the Scriptures show that "marriage is honourable in all"
YES - w51 6/15 p. 362 On Service Tour in New Zealand
From the Scriptures it was shown that it is proper for Christians to marry and the purpose of marriage is the rearing of children.
NO - w71 4/1 p. 214 Preach God’s Kingdom with the Right Viewpoint
NO - w88 3/1 pp. 21-22 par. 17 Childbearing Among God’s People
NO - Jeremiah book (2010 - Studied 2013) chap. 8 pp. 94-95 par. 7 Will You "Keep Living," as Did Jeremiah?
6 What relevance is there in God’s command that Jeremiah not marry or have children? Today, some loyal Christians are unmarried or have no children. Consider first that Jeremiah was to remain childless. Jesus did not command his followers to abstain from having children. Yet, it is noteworthy that he pronounced "woe" on pregnant women or those nursing a baby when tribulation came on Jerusalem in 66-70 C.E. That time would be especially difficult for them, given their situation. We now face a greater tribulation. This should add a dimension for Christian couples who are deciding whether to have children. While each couple must decide if they will have children, Jeremiah’s case is worth considering.
Note: 75+ years after first being told not to, JW's are still being cautioned against having children.
Besides, in the new system there will be no children:

QUESTION: Will husband and wife live together after the resurrection is completed, if both are in harmony with God?
ANSWER: The Scriptures do not reveal what the relationship of men and women will be after the resurrection is completed. The most that we know is that there will be no children born during the last 100 years of the Millennium (Isa. 65: 20), nor any born after that, because men and women do not have children after they reach the age of 100 years.
