I raised this point with my wife a couple of months ago after seeing this passage in the OM book. She didn't say much other than they still have been appointed to feed the domestics. She couldn't get the reasoning that we are being told to trust a group of men who are still liable to a negative judgement according to the new "light". I think her thinking will reflect most of the R&F.

I just noticed a major omission in the list of DF'ing offenses
by JeffT ini noticed this on slimboy's list of things that can get you df'd, and i checked it against the "flock" book.. .
there is no mention of blood transfusions!
i know they are downplaying this, but have they stopped df'ing people for it altogether?
-
konceptual99
They stopped DF'ing people for blood transfusions around 10 years ago (as I recall) but didn't tell the R&F.
They moved it to a "DA by actions" offence. This is mentioned in the Flock book but not the Organised to Do Jehovahs Will book.
This basically means they can refer to it as a conscience matter to the media and suggest there are no sanctions for accepting blood.
Doublespeak.

Did Russell Believe Anything Witnesses Do Now?
by konceptual99 inthis weeks wt study got me thinking as to if there was anything major that pre 1914 bible students believed that would be accepted by modern day witness.. as far as i can tell, they throught:.
1 - the last days had started in 1799.
2 - christ's presence had stated in 1874.
-
konceptual99
Just bumping this in the light of the "nooooo light".
Just to recap... it seems that the ONLY teachings that modern day witnesses would recognise from Russell are:
- no trinity
- no hell fire
- no immortality of the soul
- 70 weeks of years leading to Christ
The first would appear to be something he picked up from some Advent Christian Church teachings via George Stetson
The next two are Adventist teachings that he brought with him when he apostisied from them and is not the last something that was expounded by other scholars dating back into the 18thC?
If so, then it begs the question why Jesus would pick out these guys from all the other denominations to choose as his F&DS? All his other teachings were wrong. None of these are unique.
Was there anything else that he would have picked up on to suggest the Bible Students were the ones to plump for, even just to "appoint over the domestics"?

How Many Anointed Have There Been?
by konceptual99 inhas there ever been any research done to indicate how many individuals have claimed to be anointed since 33 c.e.?.
basically, all the congregation from 33ce to (say) around 90ce was, then it dropped down to indiividuals until growth from 1870ish.. the whole congregation of that period from late 19thc until 1935 was anointed and since then it has been dipping then growing.. there must be an allowance for those that would not have been anointed through that period.. have any estimates been done?
is the pool of individuals in the first centuary and the modern day history so big as to completely blow the number of 144000 out of the window?.

New light Watchtower magazine leaked from organization weeks ahead of general release
by cedars inhttp://jwsurvey.org/governing-body-2/new-light-watchtower-magazine-leaked-from-organization-weeks-ahead-of-general-release.
if doctrinal explanations are missing from the article, it is because they are also missing from the magazine.. i would like to give my thanks again to my source for supplying me with the magazine article weeks ahead of its scheduled release.
it showed remarkable courage, because risks were taken.

Jut reread Cedar's analysis of the article in the light of being able to see the whole magazine. What he put together over such a short time is excellent. No doubt more comment will come out and by the time this is studied in the congregations there will be a large body of work exposing all the holes in the magazine articles.
As Cedar's points out, there is much that is not explained and it's these ommissions and assumptions that really do shake things up for anyone awakening to TTATT.
