Just wanted to say that I think it's really kind of you to take on the work for this. A forum specifically aimed at helping child abuse victims of the JWs would have been such a lifesaver for me when I was first dealing with it. I no longer have that pressing need, but I know there are many others out there who will and do. Hat's off to you Rev

Now then, I don't understand why you're all so surprised...after all, Christmas is mainly a time of joy, happiness, love, and connectedness with your fellow humans, which are all emotions. This is from a British man so of COURSE he's only going to focus on the logic!! I think in Britain they routinely perform lobotomies on male children, sorta like circumcisions here

you must have seen so many people here, and maybe lost a few friends that don't post here anymore.
who are the people that you miss the most that don't post enough or don't post anymore?
Head of my list is Seeker...he wrote some great stuff and his soft orange fur was so nice to stroke . I also miss Tina and MommieDark, as well as Maximus. Peaceloveharmony doesn't seem to come around here anymore and I've really been missing my buds HadEnough and Outnfree...where the heck did they get to???!!!! I haven't seen any posts by them in a while now...guess I better hone my email skills and track 'em down.

There are many here (and not here anymore) who have been there for me, offered encouragement, support, etc. The ONE person who has been the most help to me, online and in real life, is my sister Tracy (aka Think41self). We've gone thru the 'wars' together....from before we actually left until now. Child abuse, marital problems, the loss of our faith, divorce, kid problems, relationship stuff, work, school...you name it, we've been there through thick and thin with and for each other.
There are others here and in real life who have impacted me greatly...taught me things about myself I don't know that I would have learned any other way. I've laughed, I've cried, I've hurt, I've experienced great joy....I've made some friendships here that I hope will last forever. I've tried to leave this place several times, but find myself returning. Bottom line for me is that no matter how many friends I have offline, there is no way that they can fully understand the impact being a JW had on me. Only here have I found that understanding. Funny isn't it? You can talk all day long to someone who never was a dub, and still feel like they just don't get it...you can meet someone from here and immediately there's that KNOWING that they not only 'get it', they're living it too! No need for long explanations, it's just there.

had a basketball game at the highschool tonight (won 61-39) but i didn't set the vcr.
so i have no clue as to who got voted off.
i know it wasn't a hot babe as they've been gone awhile.
I hope Jan wins too! She's from Tampa, btw...close to me And I agree that she's the only one who seems to have played fairly, although I think we've heard more from the others than we have from Jan...interesting.
I think Brian has a shot at winning; I think he wants Clay with him in the final two because he KNOWS the jury won't give the money to that slime ball ( I absolutely detest Clay and I don't even know him! LOL). Not that Brian isn't a slime ball too, just not as big of one as Clay appears to be. However, I think Helen might switch allegiances and side with Jan; at least, that's what I'm hoping happens. I don't want Brian or Clay to win. Ted would have been okay. What I really would have liked to see is Jake and Jan at the end...they were and are my favorites. Unfortunately, I'm concerned that Jan will be the next to be voted off

Wow! What a story, thank you for sharing it. In years past, I've purchased gifts for a "tree angel" and reading your story really brought home to me what it must be like for some of those children. I'll look for the tree this weekend
