I personally find many of your posts very informative; my perspective has been that you share loads of stuff with us and then let us form our own opinions. I also have laughed my ass off at some of the stuff you say. There have been other times when I've cringed a bit because I thought you came down hard on somebody. So what, eh? There have been times when I've made MYSELF cringe with things I've said or done. Sorry mate...you aren't getting my vote for the "Asshole" award.
It's interesting to me as well that there are folks here who accuse you of making "snide attacks" on others but who are guilty of this very same thing themselves! Oh well...to each his (or her)own, I guess.
Joelbear, I agree with what you say and can relate to it so well. There was so much verbal abuse in my family that it makes me sick to my stomach to hear it now. My instincts are to avoid it like the plague but I do think I'm getting better at separating what is 'abuse' and what is just a clash of opinions. Peace to you Joel.

Lessee...first car was an early 80's (can't remember the exact year!)Chevy Chevette, 4 door, blue, complete with it's own dents...but, man I loved that car!
Now I drive a 1993 Ford Aerostar mini-van, University of Florida blue (GO GATORS!!!), complete with old french fries and empty candy wrappers...man, I love my van!! I can haul just about anything in it and I feel safe going down the road. Yeah, it's a mom-mobile but so what?! LOLOL

Thanks for the kind words...one thing I have learned is NOT to blame others for my stuff and not to try and control other people...it is so much more liberating, isn't it? Not that I'm perfect at it yet, but as you say, it's the journey and not the destination. Thanks for the words of encouragement...they were really needed today!
