  Fibre Optic Christmas Tree

  i was thinking of getting one of these...because they look really cool.

  the elders may not like it but i think its just like a lava lamp thing....what do ya think?.

  Only a real tree will do for me....the excitement of going out to the tree lot and lugging that 'perfect' tree home....the air is crisp and cool (or as crisp and cool as it gets in Florida!)...the kids and I wrestling it in the door...decorating it together while xmas music plays in the background...the sounds of the children fighting over who gets to put the star on...setting up our xmas model train set to curve around the base of the tree...and then turning out the lights and sitting together, watching the lights of the tree shine on the faces of my children and feeling the magic of the season...breathing in the wonderful scent of pine...course, this only lasts approx. 30 seconds before the kids want to turn the tv on and watch cartoons!! But hey, while it lasts it's wonderful!!

  We finally had the child!

  we now refer to her as the child formerlly know ans fetus.. 8lbs, 5 ozs...

  Congratulations Eyebrow!! That's wonderful...ohhhhhh, a little girl...little girls are truly special; I love my daughter to death. Course, little boys are special too...I also love my son to death! Enjoy your new baby and remember: sleep deprivation won't really kill you, you'll just feel like it is!!

  Way cool!!! When did you attend USF and are you still in the area?

  Yeah, I love the campus; it's beautiful, altho I haven't walked so much in years! And geez, was it intimidating when I first started a few months ago but now I love it. Eating my lunch on the grass outside Cooper Hall...altho there are some squirrels that are just too darn friendly for my comfort! lololol

  Hey Larc,

  I dropped out of highschool after 10th grade. I was a good student but thought why bother? My parents weren't in the least interested in any of us kids getting a college education, altho I wanted one in the worst way. But I figured it was just another dream.

  Fast forward a few years...I have 2 kids and am 36 years old...last May, I received my AA degree and am now enrolled in the University of South Florida as a junior, majoring in Social Work. Sometimes I ask myself why I'm doing this!!! lololol..my kids and I bitch together about homework and unfair teachers, but I will never forget the feeling I experienced sitting in my very first college class, looking around and thinking: "I'm finally here! I'm in college!" One of the best feelings of my life.

  Question For American Travellers:

  how do you feel about travelling by air since the events of sept 11?.

  have these occurences just made you uneasy, or were they enough to put a stop to flying altogether?.

  i told some of my pub buddies that i would ask this question, the news media have indicated that most americans are refusing to travel anywhere by plane at present.. englishman.. nostalgia isn't what it used to be....

  I'm flying to Toronto later this week and, quite frankly, I'm convinced I'm going to die but hey, I'm not gonna let that stop me! For a few weeks after the terrorist attacks, I was concerned about getting on a plane but now I'm not really worried about that. I just normally have a phobia about flying; otherwise, I think now is probably the safest time to fly as the security is so much tighter. And hey, being patted down by good looking security guys sounds good to me!

  Angharad ..love that one! I used it too! Another favorite was when it would storm, I'd pray for the power to go out! After all, what could ya do if the power was out?? And man, even if it only blinked off and then back on, that was sufficient for me to say the power went off! LOLOL...I mean, I wasn't lying!!

  Yahoo Clubs - What do you make of this?

  okay, hopefully this won't start a big riot (like the last time)...here's the deal, my cousin (now, please keep in mind, she is not a witness) had a dinner party at her house last sunday.

  she invited 10 of her closest friends, with one catch, every person invited had to bring one person w/them.

  the person could be male or female and they had to be someone who my cousin (the host) did not know.

  Watchtower hysteria

  i have been away from the organization for about 3yrs now.. what did it for me was that verse in psalms/proverbs, where it says: do not put your trust in nobles or the son of earthling man.. the watchtower officials are like nobles.

  they expect trust from you, with their multitude of rules for christian living.

  something they say is down to your conscience; yet punish you for exercising your conscience.they infact want you to exercise their conscience.. yes, i have doubts about these people!.

In fact, this poster sounds incredibly familiar to me: uses words like 'bloody', 'you lot'....engages in circular reasoning...doesn't accept responsibility for his attacks, but tries to turn them back on the people he attacked...wants to play mind games...wants to stir up some shit...whines....
