Look how far we have come!

i just wanted to share with everyone who knows my hubby (jst2laws) & my situation just how far we have come since last spring.

it was at that time that we started fading, he by stepping down as an elder and together trying to become inactive without much fanfare.

well last night hubby thought he might want to have some fun over at a jw site and tried to get on that site when he realized, and then said to me, that he doesnt know the answers to the questions they were asking.

Congrats on the deprogramming!! Isn't it a wonderful feeling to know that the WTS is losing its grip on your minds? Tracy and Doug and I used to get such a laugh on Sunday mornings. We'd be sitting outside, drinking our coffee and welcoming the day when someone would say:"Gee, I guess we'd better get dressed for the meeting" or something similar, and we'd all just hoot and cackle like crazy people. Ok, so we are crazy people but still! Freedom is such a wonderful thing and I'm so glad that you both came out together

I love pickles!! Kosher dills are my favorite but Clausen's garlic dills are a close second.

Hey when it gets you down, just think: you could be like me and have no artistic talent whatsoever! I've always wished I could draw or paint or sing or play a musical instrument or SOMETHING but I'm hopeless, can't even draw stick people or sing the ABC song without my voice cracking. Oh wow, I can't believe I forgot this one! "American Dreamer" with Jobeth Williams and Tom Conti...one of my favorite movies of all times!!! Sigh...a romantic comedy...great chick flick, don't know if the guys would get into it tho.

'Apostate' or something better???

dear all,.

i desperately feel that the grand title of apostate applies no more to ex jws than it does to the whole of active jws.. therefore, i am asking for some sort of alternative title for the wonderful people who post on here.

the word apostate strikes fear in the average dub.

i'm glad that jehovah will kill you,yet!.

there is alot of things that i want to say but you know that jesus said in matt 24:9-11 that you would hate his faithful ones ,but to be honest with you ,we don't hate you ,cause in matt 5;1-9 says that we will be hated,so since we all know that ,than it is a pleasure that you talk about us.and other thing that i want to say is that people in the world thinks that we are crazy ,but if you would read the old testament than you will know that the jews were to serpart themselves from the other nations and that is how jehovah's witness fell about it,see when the jews would be around other nations than they would forget jehovah and they would worship other gods.when they do that ,it would cost them their lives.so it is good that you are talking about us and i would like for you to continue to do so .why?

I just read the poem you posted in the thread for Windrider and I HAD to comment! I've been looking all over for that poem but I didn't know the author!! I was given a copy of it several years ago by my therapist and it always hung on my bathroom mirror until I moved last year. Apparently, in the move I lost it and I've missed it a great deal. I've been wanting to post it on this site but couldn't. Thank you so much for posting it!!!

It's hard to know what to say without knowing what it is you're going though. However, having been thru some pretty hellish moments, I can at least relate to depression and emotional/mental pain. My thoughts are with you. I've always enjoyed your posts on the board and hope that whatever difficulties you're facing right now, you will be able to deal with them successfully and know that there are people here who care.
