It's all our fault we just don't listen. We keep making mistakes and getting the wrong idea. It's a perfect God trying to communicate with imperfect people. Perhaps he should get a website. 'God' , follow him on Facebook.

funny thoughts when pondering the actions of god
by confusedandalone inisnt it interesting that if god needs to warn millions of people that they need to change he talks to like 1 guy and tells this one guy to talk to 1 million people or 7million to talk to 7billion people.
it would obviously be easier faster and far more convincing.. .
yet when alot of people need to die.... he will personal kill each one.

When I was pioneering I remember showing my partner a booklet called Religion Reaps the Whirlwind. She was horrified, where did you get that she said. I said oh in the town centre, a man in a long black cloak gave it to me. More looks of horror and 'apostate' accusations. Eventually I told her the truth, I got it from the literature desk at the KH. They were having a clear out of very old stuff. It had a very lurid cover as I recall, nowadays old literature is just not kept at the KH at all.

Petty Gambling
by konceptual99 inaccording to the shepherd book.... .
the elders do well not to involve themselves in what individuals do with regard to petty gambling solely for entertainment.
they may need to give counsel if this becomes a cause of stumbling for others or affects the spirituality of the individual or the congregation.-w02 11/1 p. 31.. .

We couldn't sell raffle tickets that the school gave us to fundraise when I was a child because that was considered to be gambling. I remember taking a book of raffle tickets to the headmasters office and giving them back. Very frightening.

the bible and its prophecies
by Crazyguy ini have been doing a lot of research on the bible and its roots so to speak and its becoming clearer that the jews like other races took gods and stories from others and made them their own.
its also become clear that many of the books were written later then stated, like daniel probably written about a hundred years before christ and some of it maybe even after.
but what i don't get is the prophecies.

So strypes you say it is doubtful that Christopher Hitchens received salvation but you say that now he knows the Truth.
So where do you think he is then, knowing Truth but not being saved?

Physics: What are your thoughts on life in the 4th,5th,and higher dimensions?
by EndofMysteries inif you do a little research there are many physics forums, discussions, and books about this.
it's a bit challenging to grasp but it's very interesting.
if there is life on this higher dimensions, they could see us yet we would be unable to see them.

I don't have a problem with life forms I can't see. On earth we call them bacteria and viruses. Anything we can't see with the naked human eye we could label invisible but of course it is simply beyond our body's ability to sense. Being a sci fi fan for many years I am OK with the idea that there may be life forms in the universe that can't be detected with the naked human eye. One of the greatest sci fi writers of all time, Isaac Asimov, was a professor of biochemistry at Boston university and no dummy. He wrote many non-fiction books on cosmology, physics and chemistry. In his fiction he let his imagination roam about what life forms there may be in the universe.

Hello, I am new
by LillyC ini am not a jehovah's witness but i am very interested, i have many questions and hope they can be answered here.. i do believe in god, privately.
i do say my prayers daily and do believe god helps me in countless ways.
but i don't go to any church.. i have always been impressed at how smart, polite and nice jehovah's witnesses are and i always make time to speak to them when they call at my door.

Critical Thinking from the Wife !!
by TTATTelder inthe other day i had a couple of drinks and went off on the gb (again), about how they are just posturing and have no clue.
i said if they knew what they were talking about we would already be in the new world, but we're not ..so they dont...the end.. well i got some push back as would be expected, but what surprised me was what she said a little later.
firstly she didn't pay attention to the public talk this past sunday and instead read an article in a watchtower on stress.

You're right usually there's a cover-all response to any physical problem with the human body that it's because of imperfection and Adam and Eve. Well done keeping your cool, it's very exciting for you!

We know he's taking the piss sparrow, why does that concern you? As Finkelstein says 'can't tell if trolling or just very stupid'. If it gives us the opportunity to tell a few home truths about this cult what of it?
