Measure your philosophy with the Bible not with my posts.
I measured my philosophy with the Bible over twenty years ago and I found the Bible wanting in compassion and mercy.

If you choose to defy the warning, do not expect mercy. Mercy is extended now. Last chance.
Mercy and compassion are personal qualities, they do not have time limits.

Update on sisters threatened with rape
by Xanthippe inyesterday i had an email from amnesty international about the two sisters in an indian village who were sentenced by the village elders to be raped as a punishment for their brother falling in love with a woman from another hindu caste and eloping with her.. amnesty do a great deal of good work but the real force is individuals who sign the petitions and send letters and emails to political leaders.
people power folks, it really works.
for those of us who signed the petition and the rest of the over 300,000 people who did, meenakshi and her young sister thank you.

As for Amnesty being an example of Americans treating people in under - developed countries as inferior, again you show your ignorance. Amnesty International was created by a British lawyer who wanted to stop human rights abuses.
Amnesty International was founded in London in 1961, following the publication of the article "The Forgotten Prisoners" in The Observer 28 May 1961,[4] by the lawyer Peter Benenson. Amnesty draws attention to human rights abuses and campaigns for compliance with international laws and standards. It works to mobilise public opinion to put pressure on governments that let abuse take place.[3] The organisation was awarded the 1977 Nobel Peace Prize for its "campaign against torture,"[5] and the United Nations Prize in the Field of Human Rights in 1978.[6]

When I first read this story it was already mentioned that the Indian gov had protective measures in place if anything like this happened if it did happen. - Ruby456
I think you misunderstand the situation in India. Amnesty have made it clear that the Indian Supreme Court have said that punishments meted out by village elders according to traditional rules in rural communities are illegal, but of course all laws have to be policed to be effective. The local police in this village are siding with the village elders and Amnesty have been trying to get the Supreme Court to put pressure on the police to enforce Indian law.
This has been accomplished with the weight of international interest - signing the petition by over 300,000 citizens of different countries and AI members writing to and emailing Indian politicians. All governments care how they are viewed internationally as this has financial implications for their countries.

CultBgone, yes it is amazing and empowering to know our voices count. With modern communication systems the world is shrinking and it's not easy for savage people to do what they like anymore. When things seem really dark in the news it gives me hope to realise that hundreds of thousands of people are willing to use their power to help fellow humans. -

'Last month we asked you to help us call for the protection of two sisters in India. An all-male village council in Utter Pradesh had ordered that Meenakshi Kumari and her 15-year-old sister be raped and paraded naked with blackened faces – as punishment for their brother's actions.
Thank you for standing with them and demanding justice
Over 300,000 of you signed our petition calling on the state authorities to grant them protection. Now, India’s Supreme Court has ruled that the women and their family must be protected from potential abuses by the villagers.
The family have told us they are grateful to all of you. But sadly, they don’t yet feel safe enough to go home.
We will continue to work with Meenakshi, her sister and family to make sure they receive full protection and support to live wherever they choose in peace.
Thank you for your support,'

Who Really is ..... The Blood Washed Multitude (Great Crowd) ?
by Perry infor jw's the issue has never been who the faithful and wise servant (f&ds) was.
that is just misdirection and sleight of hand.
it is plain from the context that this was obviously a rhetorical question meant for self introspection.

Because they are "washed in the blood" covenant of the Lamb. Matthew 26: 27&28 makes it clear that the only access to the blood that washes us clean is through the New Covenant.
Doesn't logic tell you that nothing can be washed and cleansed in blood? Blood poured out of a living thing stains, ruins and putrefies.
Try and step out of the religious indoctrination for a moment and see that this is an illogical statement, weird imagery and a teaching that no loving father would want to believe, that it is right to sacrifice your son - or anyone, for a principle.

Where is this evil spirit from?
by iconoclastic inmany believe in the wonderful drama of evolution (life evolving from non-life through flower/fruit beautiful trees and variety of species, reaching homo sapiens and finally returning to non-life) through various processes such as mutation, adaptation, natural selection .... yet there is an evil spirit working against the very spirit of the evolution, producing ironical results in too large a scale.
to mention a few:.
1) the really superior beings are kept sidelined (http://thoughtcatalog.com/lorenzo-jensen-iii/2015/07/17-ways-that-science-proves-women-are-superior-to-men/).

4) Very high tolerance for pain. I can't think of many women who could pass the physical rigors of BUDS training, although some of these Cross-Fit girls are amazing
Try giving birth.
