  i'm relatively new to the faith, and struggle with many concepts and teachings.

  i am getting married soon.

  part of the teaching i've experienced is that a wife must learn submission to her husband.

  Think of that Pakistani girl who was shot for advocating schools for girls. Same type of God.

  Another rule, if a brother, even a child, makes an incorrect comment in a public meeting, a sister cannot be called on to correct him. A sister cant correct a brother, even if she is 70 years his senior and well respected in the congo.

  Your relationship is between you and your wife, nobodies business what its like besides you two.

  If you insist on exploring her submissive side I recommend you keep it in the realm of kink and out of your daily life :)

  Do You Ever Doubt Your Efforts Are Futile?

  ...hello folks.... ...i've read countless of posts, ideas, opinions, etc here and i'm interested in your response.... ...there is a whole gamut of feelings here from individuals that are simply annoyed with the wt organization, to those that come off as hellbent on putting the org out of comission.... ...others yet seem to have made it their mission in life to eradicate the concept of god himself.... ...to any of these, what is your motivation?

  and do you ever doubt that these efforts are futile?

  do you feel that you posses the power/ability/means to change the convictions/faiths of the masses?

  today i celebrated being 32 (i think) at university, it felt awesome to be public and not care anymore.

  facebook was full of lovely messages and i had great cards.

  wish i had been braver years ago.

  Try it and see how you feel. Ive done it before. I think it works better if you live in a warmer climate. Hard to make it through a cold winter as a vegan.

  but after a few years out, people do seem to get their lives back.. i was wondering if anyone wants to share about finding happiness once outside the org- how has you life improved or been enriched by starting over?.

  what do you cherish the most that would have been impossible, not allowed, or unthinkable as a jw?.

  There are many stories on JWN about the heartbreak of losing ones family to the WTBTS. But after a few years out, people do seem to get their lives back.

  How do you feel about birthdays and Christmas now?

  i wonder...for those of you who were brought up as a jw or who have been "in" for many years, how do you feel about birthdays and christmas and celebrations in general now?.

  the indoctrination/brainwashing is very strong.

  once you are out, or, perhaps, still in but totally disillusioned and sure that it is all a lie, not the truth, do you find that you are determined to celebrate like mad to make up for what you missed, or do you find you have a lingering sense of guilt, however irrational you may now think it is?.
