  Disrupting literature carts

  i am ready for a little guerilla warfare (no one gets hurt, of course).

  but these literature carts in the city need to go.

  everytime i walk by its all i can do to keep from knocking the thing over.. any ideas on how to destroy their little stash of paper.. so far my best idea is water, pouring water all over it.

  thank you for your caution, cofty.

  In a crowded city it is easy to slip away.

  plus, they are on public property, and they are not selling these items, correct. therefore they cannot be of any value in terms of damages.

  Lighting it on fire is obviously out of the question.

  But other substances that might make this trash into garbage... any ideas.

  Graphic violence against a Jehovah's Witness in the name of entertainment

  a so called friend of mine sent me this link to a music video.. the song seems to be ridiculing jehovah's witness's and their practise.. but more disconcerting is the visual content, which actually shows the assault and murder of a jehovah's witness.. i can appreciate there is an element of humour involved, but find it in pretty poor taste.. and in no way a positive message to the populace and for the safety of jehovah's witness's in general.. .

  Honestly every time I see a witness, especially when they are at those subway kiosks, I cant help but imagine assaulting and publicly humiliating them.

  I cant be the only one, and they are foolish to stand there all day every day representing an or which kills people, allows child abuse, and destroys families.

  I *might* be a little angry.

  Though it wont be me, someone is going to lash out at these idiots eventually.

  Unfortunately I have experienced a few of thoes thing.

  Ms. Ott, I wish you the best, but it doesnt sound like this is going well for you. try to become financially independet, get a job or a skill in case this doesnt work out.

  HELP I have until next Wednesday

  i have an oppertuinity to try ttatt on an elders wife who is a pioneer who showed up today.

  she is willing to meet me one on one to discuss how pedofiles are protected, the blood issue, the flip flpos, how they teach theocratical warfare and hate.

  i agreed to only use watchtower and awake publications.

  Since you are not a JW, never have been, and hopefully never will be, you have no chance of taking on an elders wife with doctrinal points.

  The only person you will hurt, who is a JW, and who you care about, is your husband.

  Gran is dying.

  my dear granny hasn't been feeling well for some time and has had a problem keeping anything down.

  she had lost a lot of weight and gone for many tests.

  those tests came back and on friday we were told she has cancer of the pancreas.

  it's been a tough year for me so far.

  my grammy passed away in june and i haven't grieved her properly.

  it was a jw funeral and that wasn't the platform to do that.

  Hi Diana,

  What a shock to find the man you love with another woman!

  It sounds like you have hit the lowest low point. The good news is, it can only get better from here. All you need to do is let time go by and that itself will lift you, day by day. Be patient with yourself, but dont wallow. You may have to force yourself to do things. But it will get better.

  This man does not deserve you, never did.

  In the past I have also had my heart broken and know how disorienting it can be, how pointless it can feel. I forced myself into intense exercise and honestly it helped me so much. I was at the point where I could not talk or think about what had happened anymore, I just had to DO something or I would become a crazy recluse.

  When life feels pointless, it is a good time to reassess and let the pointlessness be a question. Try to keep your heart open and search inside yourself for what the point could be. I hope this doesnt sound too new agey. I really feel we find and create the meaning in our lives. When one source of meaning crumbles, like a relationship, just stay open, stay afloat.

  Do you have any cool girlfriends right now- I would go out with you if you were local but by the sound of it - Petrol station- :) we are many miles apart.

  What's with all the JWs unleashing the hate!?

  most of us here on jwn, while we can get a bit narky at times, can put forth intelligent arguments and sound observations.

  sure we can get bogged down with our opinions, but generally we back up our opinions with examples and evidence, and if someone has a different opinion with examples and evidence, we accept that without recriminations.

  that's what adults do.. so my question is, why in the last week or so, have a couple of posters claiming to be jws come onto this forum and berated, spewed hate and judgement, and in some cases verbally attacked members personally?
