Is there anything you could do forever that wouln't get boring?
by mynameislame innot sure when i came to this conclusion but i can't imagine living forever.
after a while i think i would be completly bored with everything.. not saying i wouln't like to live for a few hundred years or maybe even a few thousand if i could travel through space and discover other universes star trek style.
but the thought of living forever sounds like it would eventually become a complete drag.. maybe i'm wrong, maybe after a thousand years or so you would foregt all the stuff that happend at the beginning and just start over in an infinite loop..

well, if you were a biologist forever would be pretty interesting because you could actually see species evolve, suceed, or go extinct.

Black sheep of the family-my life as an ExJW
by bsand20 ini was a 3rd generation jw, half the congregation i attended was made up of my entire mom's side of the family, 2 of the 3 elders were my grandpa and uncle.
my first memory of the organization was when they announced my mom's name in the meeting saying she had been reinstated....it was 1988 and i was 6 years old....i didn't understand it then, but when i asked my mom why was she crying and why did they say her name in the meeting, she said "it's because i've been good!".
so she went back and after a period of time assisting constantly, she was reinstated.

What if I am a disfellowshipped public school teacher?
by bsand20 incould a parent put in a complaint to the school district and request that their child be transferred out of my classroom because i am exjw?
if they give me the jw school brochure (do they still do that?
sorry its been 16years since i've been out) can i just tell them i'm familiar with their teachings or should i just pretend i'm new to their teachings?....i'm a freshman in college so i have still a long ways before this situation is presented, however i"m trying to get prepared for it.

I read tarot cards and they can be startling accurate. I was trained by a professional reader when I was a teenager. Once in a while I pull out the deck and ask a question. I used to give readings to others, and the degree of specificity is startling. For example, I was reading for a man and it showed that his business partner was cheating him. I said, so you are a partner in a business... and he was.

Disrupting literature carts
by perfect1 ini am ready for a little guerilla warfare (no one gets hurt, of course).
but these literature carts in the city need to go.
everytime i walk by its all i can do to keep from knocking the thing over.. any ideas on how to destroy their little stash of paper.. so far my best idea is water, pouring water all over it.

Just want to update to say I DID manage to disrupt the literature carts in a very legal way, and you can too.
the answer:
STREET MUSICIANS.
In some areas where I live, these lovely musicians set up shop right next to the carts. If you see them, support them with a voluntary contribution. I did!
There was a group of African American JWs, and right beside them a white man singing the blues, rather loudly and badly. It was fun to drop a dollar in his guitar case.

I love the organization and they show they love me by correcting things about my appearance, like if my hair looks too worldly or my skirt is at the knee because that rides up when you sit down and if my breasts are too prominent or all of the other mistakes a weaker vessel like me is likely to make.
They also protect me from making a fool of myself trying to lead the congregation or correct a brother.
They love me by discouraging me from engaging the opposite sex until I consider lesbianism, but that too is something I must guard against as I am sinful and weak.
They really love me by making sure no one in my family ever speaks to me again until I return to the fold.

I love that child abusers can have access to all the kiddos and never get reported to the police or denied their privleges!
