  Bloodguilt

  recently i went to a public talk in the mafia capitol of the us- not where i grew up.. an italian american was the speaker, and the entire thing sounded like it was taken out of the godfather- especially as the keyword for that talk was bloodguilt.

  and was repeated a million times.

  now most people around me had fallen into the hypnotic trance which occurs in khs, and i was of course, alert and paying attention.. his logic was somehow that all religions except jws start wars and are bloodguilty, and then he got to the (logical) conclusion that we are all bloodguilty if we dont convert people to be jws.. it was a weird argument for sure- but add to that the accent and it was comical.. did hearing the talks in another language or dialect ever help you realize how silly its sounds- like a parody of itself.....

  Hey Eva,

  Wow meetings in Italy! I think I may be European myself as I see nothing wrong from throwing back a glass of wine at lunch either. heheheh.

  This experience makes me think it would be very funny to do a Godfather 4- where they family becomes JWs and they all talk about bloodguilt and harlots all the time. Instead of threatening their enemies with getting knocked off- they threatend them with destruction at Armageddon. All in Italian accents. This would be amazing. Film makers, producers, actors please contact me and we will make this project a reality.

  The Bible and Masturbation...4000 years of inspired input and no scriptures about it ?

  my philosophy when i was a teenager :"those who admit to it are stupid ,those who deny it are liars" that was my response to peers who posed such a subject when i was a teen .now, being a mature aged person i think this subject could do with a bit more enlightened content.. i am a male so i can`t speak for the females ,who, i hope will give their input on this topic for discussion.and i mean it as a serious discussion.. males experience erections from the time they are babies and the natural thing to do is to hold it , and before you know it fondling it gives you releif.. society doesnt help by making you feel guilty and like shit as a dirty person.why in the world do babes ,young children ,young boys get erections before they even know what it`s function is for.

  if a god designed sex for procreation then surely this wouldnt become an issue until they reached the age of puberty ,not when a male is still a baby.. and getting back to my op nowhere in the bible does it talk about masturbation which surely has been going on since adam was a boy/man.. i`m sorry, but to deny that you would have to be a complete idiot ,imbecile ,fool ,or just brain dead.. so for 4000 years of inspired scriptures from god ,nothing is said about a condition that effects every man from his birth to his death .. makes you wonder doesn`t it ?.

  i was sitting in my car, finishing an egg mcmuffin before going to the grocery store when i noticed a dubbie going around talking to people in the parking lot.

  i thought the chances were good she would approach me, and i decided i was going to do more than decline to take the pamphlet.. after i verified she was a jw, i said that i was a former member.

  Finding Happiness in Life

  there are many stories on jwn about the heartbreak of losing ones family to the wtbts.

  but after a few years out, people do seem to get their lives back.. i was wondering if anyone wants to share about finding happiness once outside the org- how has you life improved or been enriched by starting over?.

  what do you cherish the most that would have been impossible, not allowed, or unthinkable as a jw?.

  i cant believe all the empty hours i spent knocking on doors, going where i was not welcome, not wanting to be there either, foisting magazines on people, occasionally studying with people in an effort to indoctrinate them.

  because of "religious" differences, she now wants me to move out and "separate"...i said what biblical grounds does she have for her request?.

  she couldnt respond...she said she'd rather be beaten up by me than have an "apostate" in the house.... this org definitely encourages conditional love.... i don't know what to do...by the way, we dont have children.

  my experience, and shame on me.

  in a snowstorm in pa on a highway, i ran out of gas.. this was one of many mistakes for the evening.

  the general rule is that a person should stay in the car and wait for help.

  Confrontation of the city bus with witness

  i want to share with you an experience i had last night.

  i was on my way to a vday date, hopped on the bus to get me there, and in front of me is a man folding tracts.

  they say something about an end to suffering with a delusional paradise illustration.. so, he hands one to the woman in the row next to him, and tries to hand one back to me.
