Do you still think like a witness.
by sleepy inone of my customers asked me today whether i celebrate christmas and birthdays almost automaticly i was about to say no.. then i realised i'm not a witness anymore.. i didn't really want to go into a conversaion so i just said those things didn't bother me.. so what things are here stuck in our minds like that ,that are hard to get rid of?.
do you sill have a feeling arrmagddon might come , even though you don't mentally bleive it ,does it still effect you?.
have you realised yet that you are not going to live forever and in fact you will die?.

To answer your question, no i don't, but i thought it went well w my nickname. Since santa had the north pole, greenland was the perfect stomping grounds for a little devil. He can build ice pyramids, ice castles, ice caves, walk, talk and wrestle w the ploar bears. There are almost no people and the cold doesn't bother him at all.

instead of actually producing gas and energy products, enron got into buying and selling futures sales of non-existent gas and electricity.

For You Know: Life in 1960
by larc infriends and neighbors,.
on another thread, "bad news for you know", i pointed out the amazing changes that have occured in the quality of life since 1960. you know maintains that life has been going down hill since then.
after about 25 unanswered posts on that thread, i figured that he was not going to address the facts.. now, what i would like to propose is that you who remember life in the 1960's, to list some of the conveniences and inventions that the average person did not have then, that are readily available today.

Meetings No more !

.....big breakthrough for me !.
i have tryed the slow fade but that just seems to make my wife think that i am going to go to every meeting......so i have decided to go cold turkey , and it is hard .

You could join a gym, martial arts club, take up a hobby in a group setting, do volunteer work like social work for homeless or alchaholic, take a course of some kind... Freedom takes a while to get used to.

Have we judged God?
by joelbear ina very interesting conversation that i have been having with a very nice jehovah's witness in private has led me to ask this question.. have we judged jehovah based on the conduct of humans, our families, people in the congregation, even governing body members?.
does this distract us from a direct view of god and his personality and purposes?.
don't just jump on me, think about my point and let me know what you think.. joel

That is a common accusation that jws and christians make. Its an easy way for them to turn the tide against a questioner, putting him/her on the defencive. They are then able to avoid meeting the challenges to their own belief/faith.
Peoples' actions had nothing to w my changing views of god. Once the wt was discredited for me, there was only jesus and the bible between me and god. After the bible lost value for me as a word from god, there was nothing between me and god. Isn't that how it should be?
