Head of WHO is an Ethiopean communist.
What evidence do you have that the Director General of the World Health Organisation is a "communist"?
Ethiopia abandoned communism nearly 30 years ago, whereas Dr. Tedros Adhanom served as a cabinet minister between the years 2005 and 2016, long after the fall of communism. Furthermore, his political party (known as the TPLF) is the name given to the coalition group which, in May of 1991, overthrew the communist government of Mengistu Haile Mariam.Even if Tedros Adhanom was an "Ethiopian communist", that wouldn't necessarily make him kindly disposed towards China. During its time of communist rule (1974 - 1991), Ethiopia was closely allied to the Soviet Union, not China. (Despite both countries having a communist form of government, the USSR was almost as anti-China as the West ever was).

My D.I.L. Works in a Pharmacy and gets abused by stupid people.
by smiddy3 inhi friends ,my d.i.l.
works in a pharmacy and looks after people who needs prescriptions and advice on health care products that patrons need .and the sad thing is with this covid19 virus seems to be bringing out the worst in too many people as more often than not she is getting abused and challenged for wearing what she and her workmates have to keep themselves and the public free from this virus.. there are notices all around the store telling people that they are out of certain items and cant supply them such as hand sanitizers ,face masks ,gloves ,personal disinfectant wipes etc, etc.and she gets abused because she has gloves on ,has a face mask on ,and has hand sanitizer that she can use and the customer says something like you have it why cant i get it ?.
in an abusive and challenging way and its getting her down.. she is getting tired of trying to tell the public she is their to help them and if she and her co-workers get sick the shop will close and nobody will get the help they need.. also they don`t respect the distance they need to keep from each other they lean over the counter with there hands touching everything trying to get in her face complaining.not only do they not appreciate they should only be in the store to get what they need and then get out ,they just treat it like any other normal day and browse around the shop picking up any and everything then putting it down again and buying items that are not necessary for their day to day existence .. i feel very sorry for her and all of the people doing like minded work , who are suffering under the same stress needlessly by unthinking uncaring people .. i just want to add she is a beautiful young lady who has a lovely caring personality and its a shame that she and others in her profession are subjected to this form of abuse.. note : this is happening in regional victoria australia.

The reception area in the Emergency Department of our local hospital has long displayed a prominent warning sign, to the effect that "Physical or Verbal Abuse" of hospital staff will not be tolerated. Likewise, there has always been similar signage at most of the doctor's clinics around the district (long before the COVID-19 virus was ever heard off).
My brother in law was a long-serving paramedic in the ambulance service, and spoke of how he and other ambulance officers often physically attacked while at work. The problem was so widespread that one of the pre-requisites for being an ambulance officer was described as being both physically robust, together with a definite mental hardness. Although he, in many ways, fitted the bill (particularly as a former rugby union player), the stress finally drove this person to drink. In order to help break his addiction to alcohol, my BIL had to get himself transferred onto less stressful work.
Why anybody would abuse others who are only trying to help them is completely beyond me!

Slightly off-topic, but I can't but have a quiet chuckle as to the irony of it all.
Our family has south-East Asian connections, and I have been the butt of many a snide remark about what unhygienic b@$t@rd$ us white people are. Now I see it for what that really is, Asians trying to out-do Europeans about being Europeans!

What SHOULD have woken you up ?
by Phizzy infor myself, there is an embarrassingly long list of things that really should really have woken me up, fully.
it was a long process for me, as a mind controlled born in, things i simply did not agree with, or knew were downright wrong, that built and built, and, eventually i woke up, after 58 bloody years in !.
but just mainly for fun, what should have woken you up ?.

I identify with those who say that the penny should have dropped after the 1975 fiasco. Something about "hope springs eternal", I guess!

Not at all surprised.
Around here, at least, there has been panic buying of just about everything - with toilet paper being up near the top of the list. I guess if one is going to die, it might as well be with a clean backside!

That's all there ever was to being a Jehovah's Witness
by Terry injehovah's witnesses weren't jehovah's witnesses until 1931.until that year the people who had been hard-headed followers of end times false prophecies by william miller and seventh day adventists, more or less settled into following charisma-ballyhoo preaching by folks like "pastor" c.t.
russell.what was it that attracts these people?
it is a thin veneer of pious bible interpretation as a means of prepping for the end of the world.yep.

I was first introduced to algebra during the final few weeks of Primary School, and remember approaching the subject with a distinctive lack of enthusiasm!
However, it was very much a case of just having to come to grips with the matter, particularly when deciding to learn the electrical trade. Take for example Ohm's Law, E = I.R. which is arguably the most fundamental calculation for electrical circuits.
Once you encounter three-phase systems, it starts getting more involved; to calculate the power in a three-phase circuit the formula is P=√3.V.I.CosՓ
Then, if ever involved with Electrical Test Work, it gets more involved again; an example being Wenner's Equation for calculating soil resistivity (a project our team is embarking on next week)
I have been engaged in Electrical Testing since 1980, and can vouch for the fact that this field of the electrical trade calls for both the use of algebra, and a readiness to get ones "hands dirty".
A good example of that is the project that I have just come back from, which was testing the protection relays at a manganese mine in northern Australia. At that site, everything is liberally coated in a sticky black dust from off the manganese ore. Not the sort of job you front up to in a white shirt, tie and three-piece suit!

In the early 1970s, Nobel Prize winner Dr. Linus Pauling made some extraordinary (and unsubstantiated) claims about Vitamin C and the common cold virus. As quoted in that scientific journal Awake, Dr. Pauling is said to have recommended the consumption of mega-doses of this vitamin to "cure" the common cold, and the regular consumption of smaller (but still heavy) measures of Vitamin C to prevent ever contracting that disease.
Following this, there were those in the JW camp who took it to mean that "The Society endorses Linus Pauling", and commenced to pump themselves full of heavy doses of Vitamin C. In fact, excessive consumption of Vitamin C - certainly of the levels "recommended" by Linus Pauling - tends to the development of kidney stones (I knew of at least one case in which that happened).
Aside from the Vitamin C cult, an article in that other scientific journal, Golden Age (forerunner of Awake), once expounded the benefits of reverse-flushing oneself with the garden hose!
