The excuse I heard offered as to why the Watchtower is "more important than the Bible" was that "Christendom has been reading the Bible for centuries, and it hasn't helped them".

Isn't Canada Great, even close to a Spiritual Paradise?

viewing those slides (in combination with the other things i have seen and heard about canada) made me feel that maybe canada is about as close as one can get in the western world to a nation which is now a spiritual paradise, much like a new peaceful order now.
imagine that the usa would never have had a civil war.

On the matter of independence, Britain likely learned a thing or two from the experience of losing its 13 North American colonies. Following that experience, it was rather quick to grant self-government to a Colony, then to progress that on to Dominion status, followed by full independence.
Bloody hell, both Australia and New Zealand actually turned down full independence when it was offered to them! It took Australia over ten years to ratify the 1931 Statute of Westminster, which conferred full independence on the then British dominions of Canada, South Africa, Newfoundland, Australia, New Zealand and the Irish Free State. It took a further five years before New Zealand did the same.
Both countries were offered full independence, but turned it down. (New Zealand's then deputy prime minister, Gordon Coates, described the Statute of Westminster a "Poisonous Document").
Canada may not have achieved its independence quite so easily had it not been for the groundwork laid by the American Revolution.

Of course, records are there to be broken - a situation unlikely to change.
Endurance training and mental preparedness certainly are activities which are not gender-driven. Multitasking, though, is one in which women generally have an edge. There is a biological reason for that, explained in detail by Alan and Barbara Pease in their “Why Men Don’t Listen and Women Can’t Read Maps”.
In events where brute strength is not the determining factor, much of the male advantage is negated. (And the more so the greater the distance).

We aren’t here talking about “any other sport”. Rather, we are talking about the more extreme ultra distance events, often held in extreme conditions (for example, the Spine race in England is as much a survival contest as it is an athletic event).
The longer the distances covered by these extreme ultra events, the more level the playing field becomes between men and women - and also more “anomalies” there are that start to appear.
THAT is something to ponder about.
(Jasmin Paris’s time for the Spine race has only ever been bettered by one other person, and not by very much).

The fact that women are “finally” beating men in those extreme endurance contests is more likely to have more to do with the fact that by far the majority of the contestants are men.
With the elite military forces (Navy Seals, British SAS, and similar), the selection processes are as much about physical strength as anything else. For example, potential SAS recruits are set off on a forced march through the Brecon Beacons, whilst loaded down with 100 kg of equipment (ie 220 pounds, which is considered a fair load for a mule or packhorse). The time limit imposed necessitates that they maintain at least a slow run over the entire distance. It is easily explained why no women soldiers have ever passed the SAS selection process, and it is all about strength, not stamina.

As to why these differences exist, Why Men Don’t Listen and Women Can’t Read Maps by Alan and Barbara Pease is an informative read. This book explains in detail how it is hormones which largely determine these differences - even down to such things as problems with reverse parking. Furthermore, this book’s authors manage to write in language that just about anybody can understand, yet which at the same time is hardly an insult to intelligence.

Women have a greater physical endurance than men, particularly noticeable in ultra swimming events, where women excel.
It is also a factor in ultra running and / or cycling events, where there is very much a level playing field between men and women.
There certainly are differences between male and female, noticeable from infancy ( coming from somebody who grew up with two sisters, and had a family consisting of male and female children).
